Team morale has declined noticeably within the past couple of years. It is no longer a fun place to work. The customer contact is great, but that is no longer the priority.

Great people to work with, unbelievable amount of talent to surround yourself with, however, it was fairly compartmentalized in certain areas, so advancement within some verticals was difficult.

Being my first telephone job I was a little bit nervous especially seeing how fast paced everything in the office was moving and I had no clue what anyone was talking about . A normal day at work consisted of sitting in front of a computer screen attached to a headset either taking calls or making them. Most incoming calls were just to resolve problems or answer questions about out services. Outgoing calls were all follow up calls to people who had said they were interested in obtaining a master card credit card with us, I would call the customer to tell them if they were approved or denied for a card.
The management provided a very hi stress competitive atmosphere with cash incentives for the most confirmed cards given out and the first sale of the day and many other motivators. My co-workers were normal people just trying to make a living but not very interested in socializing. The hardest part of the job was collections, the reason I had a little bit of a hard time with this is because most of the people I was collecting were elderly persons who didn't quite understand the way the annual membership fees worked, Its hard to tell a 95 year old woman that she owes 1200$ knowing there is no way that will happen.
The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to double your weekly wage based on how much effort you put into your job.

i was a 3rd party call center for pc mastercard. in a nutshell people dont call you because their happy with their card. This job was very stressful, once you ended one call another would come in instantlly most of hte time. so you had no downtime.
