I got hired and left the job on my second day computer training. I got anxiety due to all the weirdtests they make you do and on day 2 in mu computer training I quit during the WHIMIS TEST... I was so burned out already by than...that I did not have the desire to work there anymore!!

Great company

I enjoyed my co-workers. I was able to work in different areas which kept my interest. There was tons of online training which was great. I learned about all the clothes and boots.

Seasonal p/t Rocks at Marks

I've worked for Marks twice, years apart, & both f/t & p/t. I returned to Marks as a seasonal, p/t, 'Christmas' staffer. It was a second job for me & my manager was great at accommodating my varied time schedule at my primary job. The staff discount is awesome too! I'm thinking about going back again for holiday coverage!

Busy and productive

Some stress but everyone knows their job, I had worked for them a few years before on contract so it was easy to get the job. I liked that subject matter expert people had a stake in helping me do my job.Great place to work!

Great workplace, that prioritizes the needs of their employees.

They have always been accommodating to my demands as a worker, giving me a flexible schedule when needed. Customers at marks also have an excellent reputation for being kind.

Good for experience.

if you lower-level management can not bring up issues to management. Some employee's status is not clear, always make sure to log everything you do and do everything in front of cameras just to be cover yourself

Worked with am amazing group of people. Flexible for shifts, if requested.

Open and closed store. Assisted team in meeting or exceeding daily, weekly, or monthly sales goals on each shift. Helped customers find sizes, styles, etc, and completed on line orders as requested by customers. Balanced cash registers, and prepared bank deposits if it was closing shift. Made sure store standards were followed, with cleanliness, and stock being put on the floor. Changed displays

Great place to work!!!

I honestly enjoyed my time working for Marks. I began working in Lindsay and continued in North Bay while in school. Both places were amazing! The staff were extremely helpful when I was learning, and all my supervisors were great and accommodating. The atmosphere at Marks is collaborative and enthusiastic. Customer support is top priority as well, which makes for some very happy and pleasant customers.

Productive and great place to work, lots to learn.

Really nice people to work for, they train you on your WHIMIS course where I learnt all the products for footwear and work gear. I worked on cash as well as putting out new stock and doing inventory. The management was great, when customers weren't satisfied we were trained on good problem solving skills to make sure customers don't leave the store unhappy.

Amazing group and everything

was working there during high school for co-op great team and atmosphere and management is great and kind and always willing to answer any questions you had and always helped when things got fast paced

Pay sucks, no upward momentum

They expect all staff to learn the product inside and out- including safety standards. With the intense tests and required reading they should compensate you more. Raises are minimum at best and upper management is there for life so don’t expect to ever get a promotion. Expects key holders to work for the same wage as everyone else. A large amount of the store managers are toxic as well- they sit in their office wondering why their sales are so poor. Canadian tire also heavily audits every move you make.

good people, would usually be 5-8 hour shifts. you get paid breaks. ood discount on items. very including and feels like a team. could use some stricter rules.

Team work and understanding management. Nice place to work

Busy day and very learning work place, Mark's Kamloops, Hillside has a very good management one would like to work with. \interacting with customer and helping them to get the best product is enjoyable, working as a team and supporting each other is the culture of the company

pleasant atmosphnere

Unfortunately no job security here. Environment nice to work in, clientele wonderful. Management appeared to choose favorite employees and was not flexible about hours. Appeared to have a bit of bias against older workers.

Productive and competitive workplace

Would recommend, it was my first job and it was lovely as a first job, part time job. It was a good work environment and the management was always very understanding.

Could be better

Could be more accommodating. they push to have more student over anyone els. job is not organized. "managers" don't know how to actually manage or deal with more then 2 people.

Good place to work

I always go to work happy so that says a lot, marks staff is always bubbly and happy and we have fun with what we do. Never worked with such an amazing team before

Most part, great co workers and discounts

Assigned for either primary or secondary cashier if needed, mainly doing costumer service or occasionally stock or pricing, meeting new people and gaining social skills. Management is nice, understanding and an open ear for questions or ever need to talk. The most enjoyable part are my co workers.

Some days good some days not so good.Manager of this store in midland is great to work under.Salary is not that good.Some staff members are lazy. company takes away previous perks

Fun workplace

Very fun place to work at. The people who I worked with were very laid back, outgoing and made the job fun. some strict rules on what to do, but that comes with working for a franchise. Job to me seemed somewhat boring, the shifts went by slow. The location I was at was barely busy.

if you are an independent worker, and dont talk much, and stick to your self, then youll go far. the stass if very pleasent and the managment team seem to be constantly on edge.
