Too much corporate control low pay very unorganized should be more work done done managers to keep customors instead of worring about numbers and pushing people to go in debt with there master cards needs to be more customer service and local involvement with dommunity

The store is a franchise and the owner is a bully to his employees, he tells at them in front of other staff and customers. On 2 occasions he would go for lunch and come back drunk.

Working here for almost 3 years was the hardest time. They were not understanding of my student schedule or flexible when it came to family emergencies.

Most of the staff is awesome to work with while some stand around or take longer breaks then what they should be taking , the pay isn't that great but the staff discount is pretty good , the managers are nice but need to take more charge of some lazy staff .

Enjoy most days at the job. easy going. Don't have to worry about dress code for the most part. Learn alot about work boots. New fashion. Great sales for employees

Was only there part time, but really enjoyed the team i was involved with. Easy workload. Lots of standing and walking. Flexible scheduling. No complaints at all!

Mark's is a good place to work as a first retail job, but not great in the long run. You have to be pretty independent and have to be able to learn quickly when you first start, because there is an immense lack of training. I also find it difficult sometimes to balance work with school, extra curriculars, etc, because I always receive way more hours than my max, and there are constantly new online courses you have to take. Other than that, it isn't a bad first job, it pays moderately well, and has good discounts.

Marks works with your schedule and values a positive work atmosphere. the management was friendly and co-workers were happy to help out and teach tips and how to use different systems. I worked part time as a student and was an overall positive experience

the job was great until the higher-ups decided with our new manager the store needed a "new start". but besides that everything was great all the other employees were amazing to work with.

I worked part time while at Mark's and it was pretty standard retail work. My coworkers were nice and my job duties were fairly standard; keep everything clean and orderly, engage with customers, answer phones, etc...

Although I no longer work at Mark’s I did enjoy the time I spent there. I would recommend to anyone looking for a fast paced job. Lovely and fun company to work for.

Marks from October-First week of January is alright you get decent hours but it’s also mostly seasonal staff January-September is horrible you are lucky to get 1-3 4hour shifts a week, in general I’ve had to fight to be able to take a break on time (they are previously scheduled) and trying to get a day off is a joke. I will say I do really get along with 90% of the people I work with they are good people and really do their jobs the best they can with what they are given.

At Mark’s, I was always encouraged to put my best foot forward. Albeit bearing a casual atmosphere, hard work and dedication were always greatly valued. Furthermore, Mark’s was a friendly and open environment that was focused on making all individuals on the premises feel heard and appreciated. As a sales associate at Mark’s, you are expected to keep the premises clean, tidy, and presentable for the customers while making an effort to hit daily sales targets. Although sales targets were important, our managers always emphasized the value of making customer service a priority. Similarly, at Mark’s, it was greatly encouraged to let excellent customer service do the selling. This being said, I quickly learned the value of interpersonal relationships in sales. I also learned the value of selling people products that they believed in; people do not buy products they do not need and do not believe in. These valuable lessons were learned due to the excellent management at Mark’s. The managers at Mark’s frequently led by example and were very approachable if you had questions. During my short time at Mark’s, my managers taught me various sales tactics and encouraged me to pursue my passions, even if those passions were not work related. The managers at Mark’s frequently led by example, and were not only excellent people, but excellent employees themselves. Similarly, this meant that scheduling conflicts seldom occurred, and if they did, they were dealt with promptly. I really enjoyed working at Marks, like any business it is not perfect and has some hard customers to deal with. It is fast paced and usually has something new to everyday. There is lots to learn there and great discount opportunities. I would definitely work there again

All the employees were very cooperative with each team member. Sometimes there were days when the store is busy, then each member has their own duties to do to work effectively and efficiently.

The coworkers I met at Mark’s were great and I’ve made lasting friends there. The culture of the establishment is somewhat lacking in the sense that they may have lost touch with the care for their workers.

Dont get paid enough for the amount if knowledge and stuff i do. Also doesnt help with the cost of living or raising a family. Need fair wages !!!!!!!!

I had an amazing work experience in working at mark's. There were amazing fun activies happening the other day. One of those was the pajama party in which every employee come to go to work in pajamas.

People were nice but lazy. There’s no communication between ANYONE. Flexible hours but you will not be scheduled enough. About 20 employees for a store that does not need that many people. Scheduling management is horrible. The interview process was bad. They still follow a list of questions that does not make sense for a job thay pays and schedules you to the bare minimum. I strongly believe that the store needs new management.
