an ok place to work - terrible management and minimum wage

people are only hired pt unless you are in management. bad pay. job itself was good but the management was terrible. if you get a position an a location with a manager who knows what they are doing than it would be fine.

Was what I was looking for in second job

Marks is a great place to work if you want to advance in the company. I was only working 2 to 3 days a week. Every so often the management would bring in people who only wanted to advance no matter what. The manager was awesome to work with.

Very nice environment within the store. Excellent team.

I enjoyed my time at Marks. The store staff at Sunridge are excellent. Friendly, accepting and supportive. Commonly a busy place to be but quiet times allow for getting other things done. The hardest part of the job is that many returns are accepted at store level. This can add to stress at cashier level for many reasons. They have a very lenient return policy.

Amazing Atmosphere & Great Management

Such a great team of people who work here, lots of flexibility and helpfulness when it comes to scheduling and creating your work schedule. great lunch room area providing many great necessities like a fridge a microwave a coffee maker and a toaster.

marks is a wonderful workplace

A typical day at work was just getting task don and keeping the store neat , clean and tidy. I learn how to help customer with he/she needs. The culture o the work place was paceful and co workers are welcoming and friendly . everything was pretty much easy. most enjoyable part was making money and helping customer with a smile .

Daily tasks mostly customer service

typical day check task of day ie. change in price markdowns (CIP) Clean and tidy sections of store ie. Mens department , womens , industrial wear, shoes. new computer systems recently changed management hardest part of job mostly rude customers or people that wont listen most enjoyable-employees

It was a place to work

Once upon a time this was a great place to work, but since 2014 it really went downhill and that is why i left. Management has changed since 2016, but if your okay with a Tempered employer then go for it! otherwise a lot of people who work there are absolutely amazing!!

Low wages and not guarantees of hours

Went through 2 managers in less than a year.Low wages for myself and I have a ton of experience in Retail.Got paid the same as a 16 year old with zero experience.Store was always understaffed and hard to keep clean and organized.Would not recommend working for this company.Go figure, Canadian Tire owns it!!
