It's a good company to work for except the management is slightly flawed. Issues do not get dealt with which encourages people to quit often. There's also no incentives or commissions. They do offer benefits, but it's for full time employees only and if you start as a part time employee it is next to impossible to get any advancement into full time. You are pushed on a consistent basis to make credit card sales and only get $5 per sign up IF they use the card within 30 days of receiving it in the mail and a lot of customers have complained about not getting their cards until a month and a half later, probably because the company is trying to prevent the employees from getting anything from the sales. I know just over Christmas alone i personally signed up 10+ people and didn't receive even a dollar for any of those. Wouldn't necessarily recommend working for this company, just make sure you weigh out all your options before choosing the Canadian Tire Company.

i learned alot working at marks, this was my second time employed by them and never had any problems. this is where i learned all my customer service skills

I've been working at Marks for almost 2 years now, you get a variety of customers and each location has a different feel to it with the staff members. At my location I love my cowokers and the management team- never a dull moment.

managers were super respectful, workplace was very professional, supervisors very understanding, coworkers were nice, it was just so boring because there were no customers. often times I would work a 7 hour shift and help maybe 5 customers

if you can put blinders on it's wonderful. customer are generally pretty good, management is ok, but lack constructive criticism. pay is minimum unless you advance.

This is a great place to work. The stores are well managed and they take the time to make sure you have all the knowledge you need. The supervisors are easily available to give you any assistance with customers when needed.

The managment is often changed around so it makes it hard to build relationships with your co-workers and bosses. The store is usually run very strrictly so "having a good time" is uncommon. Be prepared to work hard and know your place.

The company was good to work for 3 years ago. They wee continuing to advance with new products and great quality. Once Canadian Tire steped in an purchased everything started to go downhill. Flyers were not clear with sales, products not at advanced, quality went down, styles were same year after year. Opportunity to move up in the company went down.

When i worked there it was amazing. Great hours and hard workers get reworded with more hours. Left because i thought i was moving earlier than i had planned. If it werent for that I would be working there still.

I've learned a lot of things about customer service. Stress free work place. Great coworkers and fun to work with.
