Marks works with your schedule and values a positive work atmosphere. the management was friendly and co-workers were happy to help out and teach tips and how to use different systems. I worked part time as a student and was an overall positive experience

I thoroughly enjoyed working for Mark's because I was able to do other tasks other than just my job description. My favourite part of the job was helping customers because I knew I had contributed to a sale and also helped someone find exactly what they needed. I learned a lot about shipping and receiving, presentation of the store, and how to treat customers well. The management was for the most part was great, but there were a lot of organizational problems that took place. The stock room was always a mess with too much stock in the room because of a closure of another store. We had too much stock so none of it could go out in the store to sell. The hardest part of the job was doing everything very quickly. With the certain circumstances we were always crunched for time and I work much better when I know the quality of my work is good. The most enjoyable part of the job was the team that works at Mark's. All of the employees were very welcoming and open to ask questions and I felt like I had a lot of guidance during my work period. My co workers were what made the job more enjoyable.
Safe and productive environment to work in.
Unorganized, and dishonest.
An excellent place, you always feel welcome, whether you are a customer or a team member. Management is spectacular as they are right out there with you helping on the floor. Every shift was started out with a quick rundown on what our goals were for the day, what needed to be improved, and what incentives were going on, examples being contests, prizes, etc. Everyone I worked with was friendly, helpful, and more, the most enjoyable part of the job was simply going there, you always had something to look forward to.
I was a seasonal hire originally and rehired after my contract was done. I immediately had a great connection with my management team and co workers, they are all hard working individuals who genuinely care about the work they produce and helping customers. I have always been a hardworking person and if this job has taught me anything it is that your hard work may not always be brought up and you may not get a gold star but people do notice and appreciate the work you put in and customers especially can tell when you slack off. A typical day at work for me is always busy, I am constantly thinking of new ways to get stock on the floor in a way that will be attractive to customers and keep up with the image and quality our brands are committed to. There is a lot of heavy lifting and hard work that goes into my job, as well as dealing with tight schedules and having good time management. The hardest part of my job is the amount of duties and responsibility that I have in comparison to my previous position there, myself and another co-worker are in charge of half of the store and it's very difficult at times especially when it is busy to reach every single person due to the layout of our store. The most enjoyable part of my job is being able to help customers first hand in the decision making process, and with the more information I learn and pick up from others the more confident I am when answering specific questions, just to know that I can help a person pick the right pair of boots by asking a few questions about themselves and narrowing it down to what they really need is very - plus...
Great staff chemistry, working for people who want to see you succeed.
Can be very physically demanding, occasional under staffing.
