Worked here for 9 months my first 6 or 7 were amazing it felt like I was part of a family. I loved coming to work everyday it was amazing then new people bought the company. They are very secretive. Sneaky. They Judge their employees. They tell you to come to them with issues you may have and if you do you will get blamed for something you didn't do. They flat out lied to me said that a close client of mine told them in an e mail that I did a bad clean and needed to fix it but when I asked the client they read the e mail that they sent and it was simply a request for a one time deep clean not a complaint. The owner would have understood that if they had worked a day in cleaning or even cleaned a day in their lives period but they didn't. So I got sick of the lies and I got sick of feeling like it was a chore to come to work and I quit. Thing is that prior to them buying the place when I first got hired there it was me and one other girl and we held it up so well that eventually management had to hire 4 new girls to help so 2 of us kept it a float through covid and this is how they repay is by lying and chasing us out l. Removing our pros and replacing them with empty promises. If it was the old owner that owned it still I'd say 5 start definitely work here its an amazing job but unfortunately I have to be honest and now im saying Unless your desperate id look elsewhere and fast. Its nothing but a bitter disappointment.
One of the best places to work. Management and staff are very friendly. Very little stress, and great at working around any scheduling needs. Informative and quick to answer any questions I had. Took a little to get use to the work, but was giving time to learn and get use to new job. Loved the staff and being able to work during the day and be home evenings and weekends.
In the interview she says you are part of the family, but in actuality, they talk behind your back, don’t do their jobs so the cleaners have to pick up the slack, I have had office staff be extremely rude and unprofessional. Also, something I noted, for summer holidays this year as well, boss made sure to send out email explaining how almost every member of office staff recieved 2 weeks off to take 2 separate week long summer vacations, writing at the very bottom that no one else will be able to take out a holiday, so verrrry selfish and self-cantered, it’s a TRAP!! DONT WORK HERE PLEASE
They are nice to your face sometimes I guess, but even then you can hear the condescending tone usually, one of the actual worst places I’ve ever worked for, and it made me very sad, I was really hoping to work here for a while, but management made that physically impossible with their incompetence.
lied to my face in interview regarding hours/wages, office told customer they are not expected to pay for overtime, cleaners do overtime almost every day and don’t get paid for it, You get in trouble if you refuse to add another shift with ZERO notice, when I gave them my undated hours they couldn’t respect and follow them, the office is unorganized your supplies are damaged a lot of the time, my vacuum CAUGHT ON FIRE on my back 2 days after I got it, no one wears a mask and covid measures are ignored here
This company had the worst managers I've ever known. They don't care about anything but money I've watched them get in yelling matches with staff. They've sent us into houses without proper equipment they don't tell you everything about the place.

Hi , I was employed at MaidPro for about 1 year. They are a great company to work for. Hardworking and considerate. The owner and management were respectful, fair and encouraging . The creative incentives monthly were enjoyable.
I love working for Maidpro. I started at Maidpro as a cleaner, and I loved cleaning and the clients. I was at the office for dispatch between 8:30am and 8:45am. Then off I went to clean my clients homes for the day. After the workday was over I went home, bring all my cleaning supplies with me. There was no need to take the supplies back to the office at the end of the day; which was very convenient. Mornings are great, laughing and catching up from the day before. Always good vibes and positive attitudes. A few months later I became a trainer. A couple months after that I started helping in the office part-time and cleaning part-time. Next thing I know I'm in the office full-time as a Recruiting and Retention manager and I absolutely love it. I love my job! Hard work pays off.
The first month was enjoyable, but I find it frustrating coming into work and not knowing what you're doing or what to expect that day. It was very unorganized, I found I was driving way more than what I should be have they payed more attention to the schedule. Even though they offer "travel pay" it wasn't nearly enough to cover my gas. They also say you get $18/hour after a certain time, I worked there for 5-6 months and was never offered that. You also work maybe 4-5 hours a day. Not a very professional company.
not enough hours
I have had a few jobs in my 20 years, I am not one to go from job to job. But for the first time, I can actually say I am happy to go to work each day. From the moment I was hired a year ago I have always felt welcomed. The owners truly see/want the best of all their employees. They are always pushing everyone to be the best they possibly can be. They promote growth. They are always caring and compassionate. They offer competitive wages and bonus. Hard work is always recognized. They go out of their way to promote health. Whether it’s physical or mental. They put a yoga class on twice a month and offer meditation class multiple times a year. Beyond that, all the ladies you work with on a day to day basis are phenomenal! I really couldn’t ask for better people to work with. No matter what happens, we get through it TOGETHER! I honestly could ask for a better place to work!
I have had a variety of jobs in the past, and MaidPro has been the one employer I’ve stuck with the longest. It’s very obvious the owners care a lot about their company and their people - both clients and employees. Our MaidPro is a smaller location but I’ve still always felt like there’s a lot of room for advancement and you are recognized for your hard work versus how long you have been there. The atmosphere at work is very positive and friendly and all the girls are great to work with. There is very rarely any drama and gossip isn’t tolerated, which is one of the things I really liked when I started the job. Hours are very flexible, which makes it a great job for girls with children. Daytime hours and the occasional Saturday with Sundays off is also really great as it’s difficult to find a job where you don’t have to work evenings or weekends all the time. One more thing I love about the job is it’s physical and keeps me active, which is important to me.
A typical day working with maidpro is coming into the office on time, organize and gather all products, towels and other equipment provided by the company. You are given a binder with your work orders for the day (usually 2 per day). Working weekends is optional! Greatest part of working at maidpro is the opportunity to advance to a better position. for instance, becoming a supervisor, assistant manager etc.
I worked here “full time” for over my 3 months literally the worst place I’ve ever worked... first off full time is only about 30 hours a week. They make you pay for uniforms, damaged equipment, and breaks or damages in client homes, if you’re car gets broken into and someone steals client keys you are responsible for everything. The cost of rekeying the home and key replacement.... they have said in staff meetings that if you loose enough keys you could be working for free for an entire paycheque. If you go over the time they give you per clean don’t expect to get paid. They say if you call an hour into the clean to request more time, ONLY if the client approves then you will get paid for the extra time... however this rarely happens. I have been on many cleans that went over and did not get paid even if it’s an hour. They do not tell you this upon hiring... and the tips are not worth it. If you’re not one of the favourites do not expect much. If you loved your high school years than this is the place for you cause they still live there. Drama and expect condescending responses when you bring any concerns to management or office staff.
Condescending office/ management staff, responsible for uniform cost, responsible for the cost of damage to equipment, missing keys, any damage or breakage in a clients home, do not get paid for time overages
I worked for maidpro for about 4 months. I was supposed to graduate from training after 1 month to be paid better, but they just forgot about me. Management and boss want you to be ‘part of the family’, but will talk behind your back and cut your hours if they hear something bad about you. Not paid for travel time, and not paid overtime! One week I ended up working 15 hours of overtime and I wasn’t paid anything for it. When I brought it up to the boss she got very defensive and told me I was tracking my hours wrong. They never give you enough time to finish a home. You have to cut corners in order to finish it without asking for more time, and they rarely give it if you ask (They want to pay you as little as possible). You never know how long your day is going to be, as you don’t find out about the jobs you’re doing till you get to the office that morning. So you can never plan ahead of time for appointments or personal errands. Overall a very poorly run company, I do NOT recommend.
Learned a lot about cleaning
Not paid enough, not paid overtime, can’t plan around your schedule, not paid travel time, rude managers, inconsiderate boss, overworked, negative environment
Owners will tell you pre hire how they treat everyone like family. Very negative if you come to them with concerns. Won't let you talk just keep talking over you. Wages are lower and travel time and gas allowance are paid really low. Never know when you are going to work but require you to be available from 7am to 5pm. Most employees there are great to work with but a few longer term ones very lazy so you need to be prepared to pick up the slack. Be prepared to keep your mouth shut and just do what's told. Always hiring but no one stays long. Don't plan time off for Dr. Appointments or life because more than likely won't happen.
Some great customers
No personal time
This is one of the best teams I have ever been a part of. Cleaning homes can be tiring physically but the customers and co-workers are great. The management is very attentive to our needs and concerns. I enjoy being able to choose my own hours and how many days per week I work.
I've worked for MaidPro in Canada for a few months now. My favourite part of the job is the relationships with my team members as well as the management staff. Everyone genuinely cares about me. Not a lot of places I've worked at have as positive an environment.
Maidpro is a wonderful place to work for, everyone is always friendly and caring . the only problem was i wasn`t getting enough hours to survive and pay bills, I learned so much about detail and cleaning from maidpro.
care about the employees
not enough hours
An alright place to work, but not a forever career. Found the requirement of the employee to schedule their life around their work was the most frustrating thing about working there. Hated the fact that I never knew what I was working on a week-to-week basis.
