The interview process may seem long, but the intent is to ensure that we are hiring employees who are not only able to perform the job they are hired for, but also uphold our mission, vision, and values in their everyday work. The interview process consists of a minimum of two interviews, one of which may be over the phone. For positions classified as safety-sensitive, candidates will be required to successfully pass fitness testing, as well as drug and alcohol testing. The reason being that we want to ensure employees that come on board are able to successfully complete all aspects of the role without posing a danger to themselves or others. Lastly, roles with a driving component will be required to submit a recent 5 year drivers abstract. This is reviewed to ensure that employees being placed behind the wheel demonstrate safe driving practices. Lastly, and maybe most obvious, is to make sure you show up on your first day, ready to learn and contribute to the team! Failure to meet any of these requirements will result in a void offer of employment.

Love it! Obviously there is always the few people that wont be your favourite, but that is with any job. There are many team building events and everyone is encouraged to build strong, fun, respectful relationships with their co-workers. It is my favourite part of working at Magnum

All of our field employees are paid a base salary, and are then eligible for field activity pay based on number of jobs, type of jobs, revenue on jobs, etc. We believe that the base pay structure is more sustainable for employees than other options, such as hourly or day rates. By upholding our commitment to base salary, employees are able to be confident that even if field activity should suddenly drop, they will still have an income to support their families and pay their bills.

At Magnum your progression is in your hands. For field positions we have compentency checklists for each role, and an employee is responsible for getting signed off as they become competent in different areas. It puts you in the drivers seat on how quickly you want to progress. It really depends on how quick of a learner someone is, and their eagerness. For other roles, with how quickly the company is growing, opportunities are coming up all the time in different departments and for people with different skill sets. We want employees to grow and succeed with us.
