Good to work with home construction people. I enjoyed a lot along with all team members and had good vibes. I always feel fresh and supportive while I was working and especially customer support work is like a support to the people who actually in need.
Every sunday free pizza and games
sometime long hours of working
Lots of turnover and management wasn't the best at the time I was working there they were kinda extra, too much overlap in who is managing who which lead to ineffective management of employes
not the greatest place to try and find a career, it was good place to work at as a full time college student, the original managers were really understanding and good with scheduling, but ultimately left because they would not allow people in house to move up or get full time positions they would always hire from outside.
Days are oftentimes stressful depending on area you work: seasonal area in summertime there are more customers making large purchases such as gazebos and other patio furniture. As with all jobs, location matters, as the people I worked with daily were incredible, and the in store managers were also great to work with. Health and safety is taken very seriously, as power equipment is always used and there are many aspects of the job that require focus and specific training.
There are too many Head Cashiers with different solutions to issues encountered in this job. They will also ask you to sign in with you pin and if a mistake is made it is now yours to own.
I felt that Lowe's could have spent more time and money in training their employees in the areas of sales, customer service, product knowledge, and confidence development. Ultimately, these are things that I had to learn on my own and I did. I benefitted by doing this.
From what was once a good and fun place to work, it's become an exercise in managerial connivance for the sake of their bonuses, pay and perks, and those who make it happen are left with meager pay, capricious work hours, a perpetually understaffed department, angry customers, and a management that is entirely disengaged from the reality of the enterprise.
Too many to name.
it is a stressful environment and management could use some improvement, but I have met some pretty amazing people working at Lowe's. they really make you feel like you're apart of the team and makes it fun to be there. The hardest part of the job is adjusting to new polices, dealing with difficult customers
