I love my job. I’m desperately trying my best to cooperate with the ppl I work with. Some days it’s difficult. The contractors are awesome.
Management is very good to be around. The staff is a good bunch of people.

You won't find motivation. Uncaring management without recognition and support. Culture dry and works like a robot not motivating to excel for company growth. Unfortunately not a fun place for career growth. Consider this just a workplace for temporary place , eg: college students.

Too much stress placed on cashiers to be security guards i.e., trying to ensure no theft, they should employ security guards - when you are busy you cannot stop to check customers that set off security alarms.

The management team at our store is excellent. They really know how to make you feel confident with their leadership and are definitely a family first oriented store. Plenty of opportunity to move up as well. Only problem I've noticed is they put up with too much incompetence and allow employees to get away with too much before let go! Hurts morale.

again enjoyed working with people and management. Sometimes
it was a very fast pace environment during the peak season. The hardest

part of the job as a cashier was to know where everything was in the

store when customer approach you

Lowe's doesn't pay what people are worth. Training is almost non existant. Sales people are thrown on the floor with little to no training and are expected to do their job. Freight flow is a major problem. Can't see Lowe's staying open in Canada for too long since they have been closing stores all across Canada for two years now.

Was a punctual, team player at all times. No write ups, at any time.

Hired for one position and placed in a lower one *just to get a feel for how things go* as that's how they do it. So I was told by the one who hired me at the time.Only to find that young people without experience were pushed ahead of me after my having worked for 6 months there.

Very friendly environment and a very kind management. Weekends are the busiest. Its not very complicated once you have a hang of it. Loved working there!

They were very understanding of my health problems and it was a nice place to work, everyone was mostly friendly and easy to get along with and I would recommend it to a friend :)

Managers not interested in the employees, only care about the numbers. Changing schedules without notification. Poor management, favoritism. Fun co-workers, great family to work with. Interacting with the customers was the best part of the day. Being understaffed is a typical day at Lowes.

Terrible place to work, very hard system and they don’t train you well. They never tell you about sales and customers are rude and treat you like garbage. Had to clock in 5 min before your shift so if traffic had you late you were looking to get in trouble. Head cashier’s are extremely rude and wont help out even though you need them through out the day to change prices and such. Never changed sale prices in the system hence why you needed head cashier. Wasn’t allowed for bathroom breaks. My advice don’t work here!

I'm a Customer Service sales associate and my job is to help customers meet their needs when they physically come to the store, answer phone calls, process online orders, and assist customers in returning merchandise.
Working at Lowe's helped improve my communication skills, computer skills, taught me how to be more patient when dealing with difficult customers.

The management at Lowe's is amazing. Managers empower employees to make right decisions, support and interact with them, and act consistently.

I believe Lowe's has a positive workplace culture. We accept and treat everyone a whole which impacts happiness and satisfaction.

Hardest part of the job is impatient customers who constantly complain for simply doing your job. Sometimes you are left alone and you cannot do everything at once, and some customers need o understand that.

The most enjoyable part of the job are my coworkers. Lowe's is not as easy as it looks all the time, but with the right company, you get through the day with at least a smile a day.

Decent Workplace overall. Decent hours as well. Potential to make advancements through departments and positions. Some of the younger associates are a pain to work with but not a deal-breaker.

I loved working at Lowe's as t was fun. there was a proper paid training on system and on floor. Head cashiers are always there to help the front end cashier. all the management staff is very supportive and co-operative in all the way.

Wasn't a good place to work as a cashier. If you like standing at a register for 4 yours this is the job for you. If you need more than 12 or 16 hours of work this isn't the place. Was promised over 20 hours a week, but only got 12. When I asked for more hours they said they had no more hours to give. Then they'd give more hours to somebody else who didn't want them. Had to give up the job as the 45 minute drive was costing me the whole pay check.

A typical day at Lowe's can start at 6 a.m. and end at 11 p.m. So be prepared to be flexible and work shift work. Don't expect to get your break on time due to the fact that it is on a schedule and is followed by the head cashier. Only, this person can allow you to go on breaks.
If someone, phones in sick the schedule stays the same. The workplace culture is typical of any retail sales job. You, gossip about what everyone, is saying and doing. The hardest part of the job is trying to get along with everyone else. Having to learn about the different products in each department. What you are allowed to do and when you should be calling for department manager or supervisor. Also, having to clean up especially the washrooms after the store is closed. The most enjoyable part of the job is that you are always busy, meeting people, you could have great staff to work with, wages a little higher than other retailers, helping people, promotion.
