Worked at the South Surrey warehouse for 4 years. They just have unreasonable quotas you have to hit. Slugging 50lb wonky bags of onions and having to pick 20-30 of them at time and only getting 20 mins to finish that 3 pallet order is too tight. The management mocks you for getting hurt. And when you need a supervisor you have to go the shipping office and ask the overwhelmed Shipping clerk to fetch one. Plus we had two known cases of Covid Recently and the response was very poor We were forced back to work and the place wasn’t deep cleaned at all. There is a reason why it is easy to get hired.

All employees are scared of the store manager at the Delta location as she is a Tyrant yelling and swearing at her staff......do not apply for a job at that location you will regret it later....You have been warned!!

For many people, it is the lack of hours and wages. Starting wage is $15/hour, but all previously hired employees who have not reached the class hours to make $15/hour before it was increased by the government, now have to work off those class hours to reach $15/hour and then their next raise, which after 500 class hours worked, they will only receive a $.15/hour increase. While any new hire automatically starts making $15/hour, but now they have to work off 4700 class hours until they see their next raise. for a lot of staff, that means many years before a raise, which is very unfair to both new and old employees
