A little stressful
I was employed as a student for the summer and although there were only 2 people in the office which made it somewhat relaxed, it was a bit stressful at times also.

Amazing company owners
I salute to the owners of this company in Brampton.They have very good and kind relationship with the staff .The company is very well managed and so are the staffing.The only thing is there was less working hours that is not enough to support a living.

Burlington's Franchise is Fantastic!
Maureen owns and manages the Burlington franchise with great professionalism and understanding. There is a great sense of teamwork. The clients love Maureen too. Which means they clients stick with the agency.
Work normally comprises of light housework, errands and companionship. Clients are usually at least once a week, every week and shifts are never shorter than 3 hours. But shift are most often often between 5 and 12 hours long. You can pick and choose which clients you want to pick up. Maureen never makes anyone feel bad for turning down a shift or client or taking time off.

No scrubs! Hallelujah! No jeans. Smart casual is expected.

Starting rate is $18 (2019) which is at least $2 more than the any decent agency or retirement home are paying an hour.

Worst agency ever with small pay of $12.50 only
Worst agent ever. They pay less and expect you to do alot.That's why they are always hiring because of the small pay $12.50 only

Thanks for your review. We regret replying at this late date but it was just brought to our attention that your “review” was on this web site.

One of the problems with anonymous reviews is that they are awfully difficult to defend because we do not know who you are and you have not provided many details of your apparent dreadful experience.


For the record, in our 18 years of business we have always paid more than minimum wage until recently when the government mandated a large increase.


Our turnover, we believe, is actually less than most other agencies and we have many caregivers who have been with us in excess of 10 or 15 years.


While we obviously do not agree with your assertion that we are the “worst agency ever”, we are proud of our staff and appreciative of our clients, many of whom have also been with us for a very long time. Notwithstanding this, it has always been our goal to improve.


We regret that your employee experience was less than satisfactory with us and wish you well in your future endeavors. Please feel free to contact me personally if you wish to discuss your review further.

A typical day at work was consistent and well adjustable. I learned many things as I was part of a team. My co-workers at the location were very kind and showed me new things. I enjoyed working with all of the Living Assistance Services staff.

Unorganized Coordinators, Never on Employees' Side
Poor management. Staff at the office were only friendly in the office, unfriendly over the phone. They weren't organized, they accused me of doing something that I had never done because they were mistaken me with some other employee. When they found out it wasn't my fault they "laughed" about it without apologizing.

Doesn't matter how good of a caregiver you are and how good your clients' feedback about your care, your client coordinators won't be nice to you if you don't always say 'yes' to the client assignments they offer you. Even though they know that you have a right to refuse any client assignments. Hurts so much when you know that you always give your best for your clients and always try to be as professional as you can but it's not appreciated.


They believe their clients, they don't always believe in what their caregivers say. Because money is their priority. They're never on caregivers' side.


$12.5/hr, Smaller than most agencies' hourly rates.

One of the problems with anonymous reviews is that they are awfully difficult to defend because we do not know who you are and we are not aware of the dates, times, staff members names, etc.


Accordingly, we can only report that you are incorrect that our staff are “never on employee’s side.” This is simply untrue as evidenced by many situations to the contrary in the past 18 years.


Similarly, our caregivers are very much appreciated and many have been with us over 10 years.


Our pay scale has always exceeded minimum wage until recently when the government mandated a large increase. Our pay scale has always been determined by experience and qualifications and money is only a priority with us to the extent that we have to pay our staff, expenses and earn a very small profit.

I enjoyed my job very much
Setting up job fairs, scheduling interviews, references checks, filing out documents and traveling.
Worked with a great co-worker. Staff very helpful and team players.
