Youre either on the inside or the outside here. Management is quick to throw workers under the bus to cover their own behinds. Management takes zero responsibility, being in the office is painful as its basically just a hang out for them all while the field workers are out slaving away for the company.

Thank you for leaving us a review, we appreciate your honest feedback. Sorry to hear that you had a negative experience while working with us. We want everyone at Ledcor to feel like they are a valuable asset to the team.
Severely underpaid and under appreciated. Could make more stocking shelves at Walmart than what I make given over 4 years prior experience in the oil and gas industry. Managment does not care about employees just profit.

Working on the bloor west was good. However the Forman there was extremely condescending an rude. Talked most the time about gambling and online sports betting. It didn’t look like he new much about what he was doing or even cared about his job. He was sued already before and I don’t blame whoever sued him. He belittled all employees there an is lacking the skill set of his position. I would be embarrassed if I hired this individual. Stay away from this company.
Ledcor was a very positive work experience and I learned many general labourer skills. The work culture was very positive. It was a good work environment to learn about general labourer construction skills and the company had excellent supervisory people to learn from.

Ok work place- Jobs sometimes arent allocated fairly and job rotation sucks because they only place desired workers on certain jobs even when another labourer is capable of doin that. At times theres an imbalance because the foremans favour others over others. So ome guys will get stuck digging most of the shift while others do a range of other jobs that help mind on task via rotating.
Organized company, cool incentives and perks for good safety practices.
pay, clique-ish work groups.
Having worked out of town the company was great for flying us in and out along with having coach busses to drive us to and from work. Every day i learnt something new and everyone wanted to teach me different tasks. I made Lots of buddies up there including management. The hardest part of the job was being out of town for weeks at a time while trying to have a family life. Day to day was fun and we got to do different things everyday so it was very enjoyable.

I would work for Ledcor again , however not in Alberta , if they were in Timmins , I would definitely reapply . It's a great company to work for if you are eager about learning .
Bonuses, great pay, benefits, insentives
Long hours, camp life, time away from family .
when i was working night shift i would be at the work site making sure everything was ok ( pumps) as we jumping a creek. safety is always a top priority which is nice because you feel safe with everything going on around you
Start the day off with a toolbox safety meeting to go over the tasks that we will be completeling! Go to your assigned job and perform the task! Take lunch break around 12:30. Work till 5:30 drive to yard and go home.
The days were long but went by fast. It would have been a more permanent position if there was more then one day off a week, so workers could see their families, e.g. 4 days off 7 on. Management was quick to respond to any concerns.
A typical day for me with Ledcor was outside in the elements with a great bunch of people giving it their all day in and day out. From Supervisors to Management, all the people were great.
Braving the elements
Ledcor Construction Ltd was a great place to work. I enjoyed it very much. There were many different people that I had work with. Such as numerous trades. The most important thing I had learned at Ledcor was being a team member and working in a safe and secure environment. The management is quite well. The hardest component of the job was working late night shifts. However, the pay was excellent, and it is a really good company to work for.
Long lunch hour breaks and weekend compromises.
Working long night shifts.
Overall good job for someone looking to getting into the road construction, or construction area. They provide great training from RSTS to even equipment training.
Sufficient hours, good pay
Long days, away from home
Ledcor was great because it mixed older experienced workers with young workers like myself at the time who were just entering the "real world" and gave us knowledge we could use outside of work, as well as inside the workplace. They gave everybody an equal opportunity at different jobs and running equipment to prove themselves, before deciding on who to give the job to.
Knowledgebale people, great salary.
Very Long Hours
Unhealthy mentality brought into the workplace by the boss in my location. Favorites were chosen among the workers by the boss and if you weren't a favorite you were bullied. Incidents happened because workers were afraid to ask the boss on how to go about a task and if they did ask instead of explaining he would go out and do the whole task by himself, making the workers feel incompetent and foolish. I did learn a great deal while I was there from my co-workers. The environment created by the workers was something I had never experienced before, everyone was incredibly kind and eager to help each other out to get the job done. Unfortunately the work environment was still miserable because of the fear the boss instilled on the employees.
Great people to work alongside with
Miserable people to work under
