This review is only for Toronto office. After I joined the office the first few months were extremely bizarre considering how grumpy and unwelcoming the office felt considering other construction companies I worked for. Everyone works their head down, no friendly banter, no small talk or conversation. It was hard even to find someone to ask basic questions regarding a work, history, technology or culture of the company. From day one I was thrown at the work and was expected to perform like I am working in the project for past 6 months. The PM or the Project Director was even reluctant to spend 10 min at the end of the day to knowledge transfer anything.Extremely political and culturally monochromatic. Everyone either pretends or actually so busy to say even hi. I felt extremely lost in the environment who is used to working with great, friendly and nurturing bosses and environment. For the first time I understood what it meant to be culturally not blending in.Stay away if you do not fall in the grumpy, unfriendly category.
Part of a big and established company, Good perks
Unfriendly environment, All work no play.

I worked here for 5 months and i left the job now i am regretting making that decision, i was seen as a potential supervisor as i was working better faster and more productively than other people.
Great time and learning experience, make good friends and travel the country side on assignments! sadly contract dried out and hours dropped most left due to lack of work.
job culture and friendly atmosphere!
weekend work with poor life balance
Highly political. No consideration for the people that work there and no notion of work-life balance. Management has no sense of direction and is constantly looking for ways to blame people below to hide their flaws and their poor decision making.
Steep learning, good exposure with respect to projects
No communication, no development, culture void from the top

Was on some medium to large projects. Local team members are usually pretty good to work with. Job tools are poor. Technology outside of administration systems are poor. Other companies I've worked for are way ahead of construction technology in the field. Company does a good job of suppressing careers and making empty promises. Promotions without merit and lack of recognition seem to be the norm for a private company of this size. Many senior executives don't follow the corporate values by talking poorly about employees. Lots of senior managers and directors don't trust the executives. Lots of head nodding going on, especially with the old boys culture. When you ask for support on anything, they point you to an HR website which you can't even get to. Everything is always justified by "management says...", even when you follow company policies. Hard to understand what your career can go.
Good pay and benefits.
Poor leadership. Lack of trust. Lots of internal competition and ego.
Everyday at work is new day. I learned to be a good team player, better in customer interactions, time management and presentations skills My co-workers are really helpful. Don't feel anything hard-part. All parts are enjoyable of my job
