Working in lowest levels is very physically demanding, but the pay is well worth it.
Management is questionable and not experienced.

Great pay, benefits. Just can’t choose which shift to work until high seniority.

I was a supervisor at the London Warehouse for a year and a bit before I quit. In that year, I witnessed people racially discriminated by a manager. I would frequently be told off by unionized employees and laughed at. I was forced to work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day. I would be called all hours of the night, including weekends.

Of everywhere I worked, this was the worst place ever. Management is very poor, supervisors are extremely demanding. We had to pick up so much overtime in the summer and December that I was hardly in contact with my family and friends. The pay is very low for the amount of physical labour involved for 8-12 hours, certainly not enough for living independently. The supervisors don't train their employees properly, and yet you'll get blamed (and possibly fired) for something you're not responsible for. Many employees worked for only 2-3 weeks and left without even having another job lined up (and they lied about it when they left). They forced me to move from afternoon to midnight shifts without any explanation; I struggled with mental health problems as I was feeling socially isolated (friends and family were sleeping while I had to work). It is impossible to approach any other staff member for personal issues as they take their jobs way too seriously.

If you want to maintain a balance in life (staying close to your family and friends, taking time to enjoy yourself), I highly recommend staying a distance away from this dungeon and telling everyone you know to not come here, even for someone desperately needing a job.

Do your research before accepting a position, staff incredibly rude No benefits, poor training Such a poisoned environment. I was on permanent midnights and had way to much work put on me. Don't waste your time.

Working over the holidays meant lots of customer volume and lots of product moving. It led to a sometimes fast paced day and we were never bored.

Management was excellent and the majority of my coworkers were friendly, helpful, and hard working.

The work is honest and physically demanding, the pay is well and the hours are long. The full timers look at the fixed term workers as nothing and have their own cliques

I was hired as a Seasonal Customer Service Representative over the holiday season. I was promised that I would be placed on cash, but that couldn't be further from the truth. I ended up working at a warehouse, doing the night shift re-stocking shelves with the management constantly lecturing me on the pettiest thing. This was a toxic environment and the hardest part of the job was the repetitive strain and awkward positions that I have put myself in just to acomplish the task.

Meh. I've never worked for Indeed so it's difficult to say. I would imagine it's alright, but then again, how would I know.

So the moral of the story is...Meh.

Like busting your butt off and being told youll get an interview by supervisors, to be treated like dirt then work here but i wouldnt after you're stuck as a fixed term forever with practically no opportunity to be hired on full time. Turn over rate is absolutely terrible and no one wants to stay there over a week because of the management and way its ran there.

Long hours everyday, but it was worth the money. Must work well with others in order to work here as it’s a team job. Great workout daily, and lots of hours.

The job is easy and great if you end up getting a permanent position. However, they do not do enough to ensure their employees are protected from the customers that can get unruly and sometimes even violent.
They hardly ban customers because they love money more than their workers.

This was not just my experience, but other mainly women's experiences working there.


If you are a B or C store don't expect your manager to stay for long. the turn a round on managers is insane.

worked seasonal and there are no hours provided, really a waste of time and shows how the government messes around with our taxes. wasted time on training that we will never use

.Co-workers are great
.Managers are not too bad

.it was mostly physical, laborious work

.I am not sure if their starting pay is even enough to keep body enough nourished to keep up with the physically demanding job, let alone raise families


But for someone looking for an easy leg in the door, this is a great opportunity. If you can manage to stick in long enough before they hire you 'permanent', life can get better.

The facility is run by the union.
Upper management had no stamina to fight for the company. It was easier to give in to the union.


The company paid for union salaries, yet the facilities are under the dictatorship of the union.


The employees need to be respectful and grateful that they have the honor of being employed by the LCBO - Yet they are not. It is disgraceful.

A customer service job at a retail LCBO will not exist in 5 years ... do not work for the LCBO. Apply at Costco ... they'll be selling all the booze in Ontario soon.

For a new CRS - Low wages, terrible hours, no benefits, no sick days, no holiday pay, job jeopardy because the the Ontario Governement (your boss), wants to privatize alcohol sales - effectively taking away your job.

Great if you love having Overtime forced on you with threat of dismissal. The management plays favourites so dont expect to land a job without brown nosing, or being related to someone. Drama and negativity run rampant which makes for a very stressful work environment. The pay is not worth the level of disrespect that the operation managers will give you.

Working at the LCBO was fun. Everyone was willing and able to take time to help me learn the ropes. Would have enjoyed staying longer. Manager was great and friendly.

I was hired as a permanent casual Customer Service Representative. I agree with many comments that you work evenings and weekends, however that is what I anticipate in any retail environment so it is exactly as you would expect. As a casual with no other employment, you can work everyday of the week during especially busy times or you can ask for certain days off or times of day, i.e. no mornings because you volunteer/work elsewhere.

I have found the staff to be great - very friendly and willing to teach newbies. This includes the management. They have all been great.


My hours over the holidays were full time however, they have dropped down (as expected) to somewhere between 12 and 24 hours per week in Jan. to March. If I had to rely on this as my sole income, it would be hard but I do know that my rate of pay will go up with time and training. I also appreciate the union as it insures a consistent approach where the 'flavour of the month' does not get promoted at the expense of other hard working employees.


The work is straightforward - respond to customers, cash, stock, clean - and when you leave, it's done. No need to bring work home or be contacted after about things that happen in the store.


Customers are generally great! Only had one really grumpy one in over 7 months and I can't say that for any of my other jobs.


Benefits are pretty non-existent for casual but again, this is what I expected.


I think this job would be perfect for people who do not need full time employment income immediately but may wish to stick with the Board for years to come in

they treat you like absolute garbage. the staff is NOT friendly. they force you to work so much overtime that having any type of life from may-sept is impossible. december we worked 22 days straight. january everyone is laid off and with the promise of a renewed contract which is a lie. they pay $15 an hour and it isnt worth 5. most hostile environment i have ever been in. after the lay off they also neglected to file our records of employment and therefore the majority of us were postponed or denied EI. i highly recommend running as far as you can and never looking back on this disgusting hole.

Working on the end of the line to helping pick the case. I would help build skids that will be shipped out that day or the next day for shipment in a fast and order time.
