How did you know that I worked for people ready??they play favorites and give them the best jobs.if they think you can't handle a job because you're too old they'll lie and say there's no work. They overcharge for transportation and it's unreliable at best
they'l hire anyone and send you anywhere no guarantee on getting you back even if out of town, they'l say you can get rides and hardly come through. they even charge to much for rides.
lots of work
long hours, lots of bs

The pay was brutally low and the work was just as brutal. While working there my peers called the place "Slaver Ready." The format of jobs wasn't right. Be there at 6 am, first come first serve for contracting jobs was not beneficial to the employees. They need a better vetting process and better higher paying positions.
Since labour ready is a temporary labour agency they don't have reliable work every day, but that is standard of any temporary agency. Labour ready provides single day placements and pays the same day after the job is completed, on a first come first serve basis. Employers through labour ready vary widely, as there is no screening of the work environment. Some of the worst people I have worked for hired through labour ready, as well as some of the best. Labour ready staff are very friendly and helpful, and we're willing to work with me when I was living far from the office (I have transportation).
Unlimited sick days with no penalties
I would not advise making a career out of this place. It is really only useful for people that need to work but still looking for a full or part time job elsewhere.
easy to find a job for the day
the work is hard on your body
* Aimed the high-pressure air at the walls of the ducts behind the vent grilles, where dust and dirt stick and can cause unwanted smells * Packaged finished products and checked for defects * Tracked amount of waste produced when working * Cleaned exterior and interior of vehicles * kept workplaces clean and organized
During last summer, I had the chance to go out and do varieties of work such as listed on my resume, gaining some experience in the work field that would ease my way to a more permanent job. A typical day would be to arrive to the work place near or before 6:30 am and sign in, then you take a seat and wait. One of the workers will call people out for some jobs and they get to chose to accept the job or not, usually it is on best match dispatch. You are not guaranteed to work, if the worker hasn't called your name by 7:30 am usually there is no more work. If you have been called out and you accepted the job, your co-workers can vary from day to day, as some jobs last one day, others weeks and sometimes the other workers are too sore or are busy the next day and can't come back.
You get to chose whether you work or not
No guaranteed work
They pay minimum wage and send you to jobs where you would normally be paid a much higher wage if you were to apply for the company directly. I once was sent out to a construction company called OMNI, they had me in a 4 foot crawl space with two filled 5 gallon buckets of bricks to move in and out of the area I was working in. If you are looking for a job, you would be better off some where else
long hours and then they charge you a fee for being transported.
Labour Ready is a good place to get Temporary work to get you by till you find permanent work placement. This maybe a shoe in a door that other wise wouldn't be open. Nice Staff, always greet you with a smile. Fast, easy daily pay.
Always something new
Not alway work available
