Bon emploi pour la conciliation travail-études. Étant donné qu'il ne s'agissait pas d'un commerce sous la bannière corporative Koodo, le climat est beaucoup plus détendu. Je recommande l'emploi pour les étudiants. Pour des temps pleins ayant besoin de stabilité, ce n'est pas l'idéal. La gestion du personnel et des horaires dépendant des propriétaires qui eux se fient sur l'achalandage. Lors de périodes calmes, c'était difficile de faire un nombre d'heures permettant de faire des économies.

This job has changed significantly since Covid and went from a recommendation to a “steer clear”.Now that Telus and Koodo have merged inner company wise the expectations to sell are 6x higher.You are expected to sell to every client who comes in the door; case, screen protector, charger bundle. Higher end plans on Telus vs Koodo. Tv/internet/homephone/securityCommission at a corporate store is very good, best paying job I’ve ever had.However the pressure to sell can turn anyone into selling products and services that aren’t needed for clients, but needed for your budget.

Good, depending on management

The job is as you expect for a retail sales job, commission pay can vary depending on your store's location and time of year. Overall I had a good experience majority of my time with Koodo, but I say this is due top having an awesome manager. When management changed, things got very messy and I decided to leave.

its a call center.. we are underpaid and it stressfull. But its okay for just a job not a career. i dont think anybody would like it for a long term career

Easy job low pay

Compared to other telecommunications companies you can make way more because the commission isn’t that great. Easy enough job but barely any room for growth without overworking yourself.

Nice people and Potential for Good Money

Overall I enjoyed my time at Koodo. I liked my coworkers and I liked that there was potential to earn above minimum wage. Though I find that's more likely at locations with more traffic like the Pen Centre. There can be pressure to make certain numbers without the traffic to give you that chance. Also a huge push to sell people more than what they needed, which I was never personally a fan of but some people are better at it than me.

Another sales job

I spent minimal time with this company, one thing that bothered me was lack of organization of management. Good stepping stone job for sales, coworkers were nice enough.

Fun Workplace

Great people, and good environment. It is a busy location with lots of potential to close sales. Enjoyed working there while I did, and it was a wonderful introduction into sales.

Good to start, but then it went downhill

I worked for them almost 11 years. It was good money to start. I was making close to 5K a month and was lucky If I made 2K. They were really good to me during Covid but then after Covid was “over” they started to treat everyone like dirt. The sales aspect have become so pushy you literally have to force people to get added service whether they like it or not. There was a lot of back and forth between managers area managers and was messy. I didn’t want to rob customers but if you wanted to meet numbers you had to do it. Also, if your sales are low because of other dealers selling the same thing, they do not accept that traffic is good enough. I give them that they helped the employees during Covid but now it’s just all about greed. Very disappointing

Fun and decent pay with commissions

Worked when they first opened. Was a good bunch of people I worked with. The job like any had ups and down. Was boring when you’re not busy. Only so many places to clean!

Was good until it wasn't

Started out great, until you learn that not all managers are the same, also lots of pressure from higher-ups for sales even at slow locations. You can be lucky and love it though.

It was interesting

I worked at Koodo for over two years. My manager was a micro manager and toxic. HR was great at dealing with her. I often worked nights and weekends. The commission was great.

Job was overall okay. Telus offers a lot more.

Koodo isn’t really a great place to be simply that they are clearly transitioning everything to Telus. They have already closed multiple locations and Telus not only gets more traffic but their commission is higher per sale. Movement to Telus after Koodo is extremely hard as well.

Overall a decent place to work at.

The job was fairly easy. However, you start to realize that Telus is more emphasized within the company as both are integrated. It is hard to sell products outside of mobility at Koodo such as internet and home services and that is where most of the money comes from.

salary, stocks and insurance

was a fun and easy job, love the people I worked with. As a sales person your salary is below the minimum salary because you're paid with commission they make an average of the commission you make to make an hourly rate... Which is bad. lets say they pay you around 11,00 and you made 400$ in commission they would make an average of those two amounts.As for benefits, as a full time you get great insurance nothing bad to say about that!!!even part time got that now.we even get stocks for the company and they match how much you put which is great.

Terrible management but good coworker

management in store was good, not now that manager is on leave and acting manager is terrible. care more for store being staffed then she do for the member. upper management is very bad, always at you to do better even you are meeting or going beyond the "do-able" numbers. you are just a number to them they do not care about you. will promise you promotion and hire on new instead, there is nowhere to go once you are in that job even at telus. terrible terrible company to work for, no matter how long you been there you are replaceable. so if you do work here, do not go above and beyond because you will never be recognized for it. only good thing about company was the co-workers (NOT including management)

Meh

The job was great, the commission was great. I was forced to quit because I was going back to school. They requested I had 55 open hours, I had 50 and the manager told me there was nothing more she could do, so I gave them my two weeks notice.

Amazing Workplace

Telus/Koodo care for their employees. Good benefits, flexible schedule for school and for family. Most of the Koodo boots are in a mall so you have access to many other service like restaurants, clothing store and etc. I would go work again for them without a doubt.

Great place to be!

Worked for the company for 5 years, met amazing people and the pay was good for a mall job! Only bad thing is, when it’s dead... time goes by 4x slower.

Loved it

I worked in the Kiosk at Côte des neiges plaza, coworkers were great, the environment is not so much, the mall is in the process of being rebuilt, so there was a lot of noise at the time I was there. I only left because of the virus though,

One of the best phone companies to work for

Pay is fair, sales targets are reasonable, culture is collaborative instead of competitive. Fun and friendly. Do your part and they'll take care of you. Thoroughly enjoyed my time working there.
