Management does not help employee's - they blame employee when management is the problem. KoneCranes has to stop presenting itself has a great place to work; I have read enough reviews that contradicts that statement.

Good experience especially in crane.

Good money, lots of overtime, but always away from home. Good mechanical aspect experience, safety knowledge experience. Lots of people you have met in deferent company. However management lack of organizing skill, of sending technician to field.

Terrible management to work for....

The management is terrible from the ground up. Branch manager has done more to loose customers & technicians by avoiding them, with a general lack of concern for planning or securing work. Branch has seen 100% turnover several times throughout a 6 year span. Regional management turns a blind eye to the inept & troublesome behaviour at the branch level. Safety in Canadian region is more concerned with US driving & vehicle GPS directives, than employees safety. No management ventures out to the field to perform their due diligence safety observations. No vacation (paid out on every cheque construction style), banked time, no advanced planning or notice of lack of work, in short, life on hold. Sending technicians out with improper training or qualifications. In short management would rather fire a technician rather than deal with their concerns or issues.

Micromanaged and Unprofessional Environment!!

Very difficult working/hostile environment. Senior staff do not treat others with respect. Pay is just below average. Technicians with no raises and voices not heard. Management coordination and communication is lacking.

Almost everyone is wearing multiple hats because they don't want to hire the extra 1-2 people needed in each department/branch.

No opportunities for growth, the goal is to see people rot in the same position forever.

The happiest Konecranes employees are the ones who've put in their 2-weeks notice.

Horrible place to work. Training consisted of driving around and looking at businesses and not actually going inside or talking to them. No wonder my sales performance wasn't up to their expectations. Your only as good as the people teaching!!!! Sales meeting were boring and if anything killed my good vibes to sell. Management super boring, its no wonder they are always hiring new sales people. They need a new / modern approach. Maybe take some lessons from high performing sales in a different setting (car sales) they sell tonnes of vehicles because they are so upbeat. Lets not forget about the way management treats you (like a child). They micromanage everything and all of their sales meeting are a huge waste of time. They need to go back to school to learn the difference between needing a meeting or writing an email. Whatever you do, avoid this place like the plague.

Well upper management in konecranes is sad, i worked in winnipeg for 5 years and sold service, district manager an iddiot couldnt tie his shoes thought if on job dont stop. That means a compant down cant get serviced. I got a buyout and with a new company believes in service and we took 4m away

As may be true of any service company, the work was very unstable. The job was always there but it was almost never known whether or not there would be work that day. Management was very disorganized and did not seem to care about the employees, only their numbers. The benefits were good but the lack of stability far outweighed that.

Staff turnover is more than 40% in Canada... Upper management is completely disconnected with the reality at the base.
They created a monster of a CRM that would require a full day a week to keep updated. Nonesense!
You need to be able to help customers with their issues, sell service and products, not complete over complexed CRM and other system.
Bottom line, if you can have a better career opportunity, save your self some headaches!
