Be transparent! I can’t stress this enough! Not only with the customers but employees as well. You cannot complete a ‘good’ sale if you’re rushing to finish it and completely ignoring the key terms and conditions. For example, mention the one year contract or even mention the lines you’re using to connect (dsl, cable etc). I personnaly did not feel comfortable selling to customers who are fed up with bell/rogers connection lines when primus tends to use the same lines. It’s just difficult to balance sales and honesty because the team really emphasizes the importance of sales rather than customer satisfactory.
Field sales positions are high pressure jobs where you are encouraged to say whatever it takes to get the sale... whether that is ethical or not. Head Office environment is just as bad... a toxic culture with no respect for its people whatsoever.
Nothing! you might end up interviewing your interviewer. Its a 5 minute call and they'll hire you regardless of how you did in the interview but they would ask following;
1) Do you have smartphone?
2) Do you have a data plan?
3) Are you comfortable standing for long periods of time?
If you answered all these questions in a "YES", Congratulations! you are hired!
Technically you are supposed to be able to choose your own hours as an independent contractor, but you are treated more like an employee and pushed into working set shifts.
This is based entirely on the position on which your applying for - if if the position is management or head office staff, it will be an initial phone conversation and then an in-person interview, usually with the person to whom you would be directly reporting
