Management is hot and cold, one day jolly, the next day the wrath of the devil. This isn't the 90's, you can't belittle people that are below you in the office anymore. I like what I do, I enjoy the work, but management needs to get with the times. They need to update the business model for the IT department.
It was okay when I first started , an after a while they got to weird an personal , I wouldn't recommend anyone to work there , they let me go after I let one of my coworker have it an they kept her , that place always chooses side I don't like it
Free lunchs when stay over time
Get paided good if you were to come early an leave late
A great team of people, but restrictions from Japan's CEO, limit progress to the average staff.
A busy environment with high demands, Hardest part was face-to face with truck drivers with bad attitudes or poor hygiene.
Gained a lot of experience in the 3 pl side of business. Diverse culture with lots of opportunity.Hardest part about the job were the long hours. Mot enjoyable part of the job was every day was different & you were never bored.
The company is a great place to work to gain experience. The co-workers are super nice and that is the only positive motivation to stay there long terms.
Culture and environment is safe and relaxed.
Promotion or advancement is given to favoritism. Lots of internal politics!!
Salary is unfair unless you know how to negotiate.
Workload is fair depending on the department.
A great company to work for a very lean operation so there is no shortage of work for everyone. Management care about employees and always acknowledge performance. I learned quite a lot about managing a warehouse from my manager she was very attentive and actually cared about everyone on the floor.
Busy days, Good people to work with, Pizza lunches quite often, Company BBQ at least once per summer
Co-wokers and Management are great. Very fast pace.
Company has doubled in size in the past 5-6 years and is still growing, there is alots of opportunity to those who want to establish themselves.... but have to be willing to do the work!
On a daily basis there are many challenges to grow new staff in helping to build a good foundation in logistics. The staff and management are very personable, making for less stress in the workplace. The people are what makes KWE a joy to work at and the most difficult thing about the job is keeping up with the volume of work and the right pace to ensure flawless execution.
the co-workers are amazing.. management is a bunch of liars and slackers. They sit there and watch the employees slave away while they sit there chuckling and laughing and talking. I have my forklift license, but they would not let me drive one.
I am a current employee at KWE. I have been working here for almost a year and over the past year I have had many downtimes at this workplace. The upper level management is not helpful, there is lack of job security. Also, there is a lot of unprofessional behaviour from the Supervisor in Accounting Department at the Mississauga location, and she is very hard to deal with. She is not friendly or helpful and would give a very hard time to employees working under her.
Perform good skills on communication, problem resolving, negotiation, and coordination with all parties involved in freight moving to get the job well done. Catch up different kind of mistake made by over sea origins, sales, and shipping lines on the rate applied to the shipment moving. Resolving the problem and revising the rate to secure customers and ensure company's profit.
I enjoy working with others and communicate in any levels. My typical day at work is month end because we need to reach our goals or figure$ in that month but all I have to do is organize and prioritize which one most important to bill. I feel that this job right now is not secure because I am still working under the Agency of (24-7).
