Poor management

It's a great place to get hands on working and learning every aspect of the trucks, but if you're not bending over for foreman or managers you will be constantly ridiculed by the sister group (small group of wannabe men that gossip like they're at a hair salon) The management is terrible. The shop manager and foreman couldn't manage their way out of a wet paper bag

It's ok for a young person to start out. A lot.of broken promises and lies. I myself wouldnt work there again as I'm.not part of there clicks and you dont get the favoritism or good jobs

Great Place To Learn, Great Place To Work,

Overall, great place to work and great people to work with, no major problems, some issues are management`s poor organizing, parts departments mix ups and poor quotes for time on work orders but theses' are just some areas in need of improvement. Normal day would involve tool box meeting and safety reviews going over night shifts progress then working on work orders assigned to a techs skill level or assisting and learning from another tech on more technical mechanics. Most enjoyable part of the job was working with some of the industry's greats and working as a team in away I never had with any other company. Everyone seen eye to eye and agreed with others openly. Pay was very good with most of the techs making well over $100,000. Jobs were challenging and well shadowed by foremen. Job security was strong even in the down turn of the oil industry in Edmonton and people felt safe and not threatened by mistakes. Job culture was great, everyone joked around and was playful, knowing were others drew the line and resected one others personal space and culture.

Points positifs

$250 for work boots, $500 for tools, paid travel and training, paid school and discounts

Points négatifs

fast paced environment with little room for error.
