Bon salaire, mais job inegal beaucoup de "vidage" van, tres peu de formation. Beaucoup d'inequite entre les membres de l'equipe certain font 2 soirs et les fin de semaines et d'autres ni l'un ni l'autres, tres ordinaire.

London North is unnecessarily stressful! Current manger first hired his friend to be part of the management team. Did not work out. Afterwards hired a family member, that is just as bad. There is no support for employees and no appreciation for the work you do. No direction is ever given, just negative comments and personal attacks. Management do next to nothing and are confused to why nothing ever gets done? Worst job I’ve ever had!

I haven't been with JYSK for long, but I notice that the company is always trying to improve upon their procedures and be better. From what I've seen they also treat their employees with respect, which I appreciate.

It is EMBARRASSING to say that I worked here for 3 years. Management was horrible. They love to undermine and make fun of you especially near other employees to show that they have power over you. I was a cashier and also worked on the floor. Corporate and management has no idea on how a good store should look. Layout of the store was horrific, not to mention staff and bathrooms were so disgusting it felt like a prison. I would work on the floors to do stock and they would get so much products in that they had no room for, this led to random products everywhere and overly stacked shelves that looked horrible. Safety at this company was not to mention horrific. They had NO concerns at all for staff safety. I literally don't know how they passed the occupation work and safety test. Warehouse employees had to use STAIRS and carry BIG boxes over their heads and walked down the stairs. This could lead to so many problems and there wasn't even any safety gear provided. Staff on the floors had to carry HUGE ladders that were heavy around the store to get products on top shelves it was ridiculous. No safety training was provided at all from the 3 years I was there. The only good thing about working there was you could get full time hours if you needed them. But be prepared, they will never give you any time off you request. Managers love to tell you that you're entitled to time off but then say that they can't give it to you because it's "blackout" and they'd be understaffed. That isn't a me problem- it is the MANAGERS job to cover you. If you want to call in - well you CAN'T. - plus...

Management is terrible not support and treats employees poorly, make then feel like they can't do the job properly expected to do things you can never finish

This is a terrible place to work. There are several issues with management and the politics in the company are ridiculous. Head office is more concerned about "looking good" to others rather than doing a decent job.

If you are interested in a challenge and enjoy working alone with little help. This is the job for you. Management at the location I worked for wasn't very helpful or supportive. You had one day being shown the store and the rules. After that it is a sink or swim situation.

Management was great for time off. Staff was over all great to work with.

Terrible company to work for they expect 1 person to complete the work of 10,they definitely do not pay enough for how they treat the staff. Management will take credit when something is completed correctly but will blame the hourly staff if something is wrong. There is constant fear of losing your job/having hours cut when you disagree with management as they like to fire people without a reason. It’s the perfect job if you like being bullied.

Some of the employees and managers tend to be very childish and immature. They like to talk about coworkers behind their back and act like nothing happened

Management and coordinators have a lot more workload and a lot stress on your shoulders working there as a part-time associate comes easy. Strong communication skills is a good asset to half in any retail environment but especially at you jysk Product knowledge is very important

I have been in retail for over 20 years and JYSK was by far the work employer ever. There is no focus on people, training or work life balance. Your expected as a manager to work every weekend and min of 50 plus hours. Region managers have no idea of the culture in each store and if they are aware they make no effort to improve. BEWARE and STAY AWAY!

CEO doesn't care about the people in the stores. Numbers are all that matters. Everyone is expendable. High turnover due to low pay and high stress levels

Extremely hostile and toxic work environment. The manager from the South London location was transferred to our location. Our new manager at the North London location is a huge bully. Personally attacking staff and customers. He takes pleasure in tearing his employees down. Runs the store through fear and intimidation. He does not listen and is rude. He has no people or leadership skills. He has hired his lazy friend and it’s become unnecessarily stressful for everyone. They try to do as little as possible and consistently criticize the employees who work with integrity.

It was an okay place to work. It was too much of a stressful atmosphere for myself. Of course it wasn’t always busy. Some of the management was not very understanding of my personal situation which I had informed them of. Most of the people I worked with were amazing but others were not.

Management is the biggest problem that 9/10 times pushes people to quit, along with the work load and lack of communication and proper training. For the stress you get from management, angry off customers and pay, it really is not worth it to work for this company. You go home physically tired and emotionally drained. If you care about your peace of mind and actually want enjoy a good worl balance, apply elsewhere.

A nice place to work due to the nice pace and ease of learning Point Of Sale software. Relatively small company but large enough to be competitive, runs like a small IKEA

I wouldn't recommended even my enemy to work there. People are treated as slaves especially if you don't come from a certain tribe.If you are not an Indian,you are treated like a piece of rag.I regretted each passing day i worked there. Store manager doesn't care about employees welfare ,it's just about numbers,sales,profit ,lies and deception. Environment was very toxic.

Nothing about this company is professional. No organization from management down. The hr department is a constant revolving door or people so nothing gets filed. The only good part of the job is the end of the day or your last day. Minimum hrs available and full hrs given to managment only.
