Upper management out of touch with frontline employees. To our clients we are the face, voice, eyes and ears of JLL. I can easily communicate with all levels of clientele. Communication is only one way within JLL.
Great people at the level we work at.
No rewards for good work. The worst employee get the same raise has the best.
Out of the big 4 real estate firms, JLL probably has the best culture. From my understanding, JLL is extremely stringent with its hiring process and will only accept the cream of the crop. In addition, they will only hire people who will get along with the team, which is what sets JLL apart from the rest.
I've worked in a few commercial real estate firms and in my experience, most JLL employees are relatively professional and courteous. I enjoyed my time there and rarely saw any conflict between the teams.
On the downside though, there is relatively high turnover due to the high-pressure work environment and long hours. On the upside, once you have "JLL" listed on your LinkedIn, you will be contacted by recruiters on a weekly (sometimes daily) basis.
Due to the turnover and long hiring process, many teams will go for weeks understaffed. This leads to even more turnover, which perpetuates the issue. I recommend JLL to consider hiring extra staff or even "floater" team members who are able to fill in whenever needed.
Amazing healthcare plan with premiums fully covered (eg. 100% RMT reimbursement)
Long hours, high-pressure, high turnover which leads to more work for everybody else
