Manager (Ancien employé) – Simcoe, ON – 17 juillet 2019
This company (depending on location) is good for learning the basics. Even then not so much. The owners of Simcoe ON location will hire any one with a heart beat including the manager who knows absolutely nothing about vehicles. Even in the managers position you are not treated fairly, work will consume most of your life , the training is lacking , the employee appreciation is severely lacking. The benefits are “meh” at best. Please if you’d like to learn about vehicles work for a dealership or an actual shop.
Manager (Ancien employé) – London, ON – 23 juin 2019
They expect the world and give you nothing in return. Constantly putting them above family and your own well being. Overzealous management and micro manages. Unfortunately they train with fear. Its a job but not a career no matter what the operations manager tells you. Unfortunately with the change of head office staff this company is going down hill. Morally. Go to a dealership. You will be paid better for the same work.
Lubrication Technician (Ancien employé) – Guelph, ON – 30 mai 2019
Jiffy Lube was probably the toughest place i have worked at. Working in the "pit" you had to work on all the cars underneath basically any general maintenance that need to be done, During busy season you have to be fast yet precise with what you were doing.
Finally having a break after big rush.
long hours, scheduling issues, lots of stress, upper management was not good.
Lube Technician (Ancien employé) – Edmonton, AB – 10 avril 2019
Job was very fast paced at points in the day then sometimes it would die down for hours at a time. I worked as a lube technician so I was under the vehicle performing maintenance. It was nice kept to myself and was able to just stay in the zone.
Lube Technician (Ancien employé) – Oshawa, ON – 16 mars 2019
As my experience working with Jiffy lube it wasn’t a good experience. At the location I worked at favoritize played a huge factor which you could see in hours and the schedule, staff working there gave new employees a hard time and treated them like outcasts... Since the manager of the store is only 22 he took the entire job extremely seriously and eliminated all possible ways to have fun in the job environment to almost try and prove himself to the company. Which made coming to work every morning miserable and not even wanting to wake up to go to work. Would get yelled at if you missed one word or used another word in there little script “echos” you call out. Place is a joke would NOT recommend working here.
Service Technician (Ancien employé) – Hespeler, ON – 18 novembre 2018
Enjoyed working here for many reasons. Jiffy lube accommodated me through a personal leave and was very supportive during related occasions. The management was great and very friendly. Appropriate rules set in place to ensure a fair working environment. Also a very clean working environment for a lube shop.
Upper/Lower Technician - Customer Service Advisor (Employé actuel) – Oshawa, ON – 9 octobre 2018
- great place to work - fast paced - absorbed so much knowledge dealing with cars - hardest part of the job would be doing tires because its laborious - most enjoyable would have to be the staff/customers.
