Avis d'employé sur IBM
Corporate name with a start-up culture.
Q1Labs Fredericton (Now IBM) is a corporate company with a start-up culture. Most people are friendly and intelligent. Management is outgoing and helpful, but the work can be monotonous and boring at times, especially if you are involved in QA. Investigative work and core development is the most exciting and rewarding.

good for entry level software developers and tons of talented senior developers to learn from but work culture isnt the best and lot of overtime work required without getting paid and not much bonus
Manager could be better and good. More competitive salary could be given to staff and the way bonus ae shared is something so annoying because those who do the main work only get crubs
Points positifs
Plenty time and no micro management
Points négatifs
Low salary
If you live in Canada - you are at risk to being replaced. If you are in sales - you are already gone. Trying to get anyone to do anything that makes sense from a marketing/sales capacity was a daily struggle with the problems all rolling downhill. Severe lack of ownership from the top down. Too large and arrogant to care.
