INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY AMBASSADOR (Ancien employé) – Toronto, ON – 13 juin 2019
I LOVED working here. I completed a student position at the Internationals centre that was highly flexible, very self-driven with a lot of support. The team is SO kind, respectful and talented. This is a great job to work if you’re looking to gain international experience, meet new people and have a lot of creative ownership.
Open-House Volunteer (Ancien employé) – Toronto, ON – 9 mai 2019
There was a lot of freedom in being a volunteer for open-house. Working with the school of social and community services faculty is not so much of an issue, everyone is super nice and gives enough information for you to know what you have to do. Not only were the management team friendly, but they were very generous too. The work environment is very cohesive. I would definitely volunteer again.
Assistant (Ancien employé) – Toronto, ON – 30 avril 2019
The executive group say they are team players but this is not the case. I felt I was never part of the team and was often left out of information, projects, decisions, collaboration. I felt bullied much of the time. You are expected to work long hours and continue working from home each evening and on weekends. Happy I'm not working there anymore.
Research Assistant (Ancien employé) – Etobicoke, ON – 23 avril 2019
as a student and graduate working for humber I found that some of the full time staff leading the project work would undermine and disregard the students and grads in there work force. with limited hours a week to do the work they often got upset with the turn in of project work. This was made worse when work and designs had been completed and the staff was going over a review to make sure there where no errors in the blue print designs. during this specific process it takes a lot of time to find the little details that may or may not be there and when the work gets turned in again with very little changes accusations of time fraud get thrown around when the reality of the situation is the staff is just disregarding the time it takes to actually do the review work.
In addition the head of the research department is wonderful and understanding, always willing to help and guide the students as well as the supporting staff to help with the media, project funding, and general management are wonderful who respect assist and support the project staff.
working with other students, learning, and seeing how the industry you are studying works
some project leads can be rude, undermining and disrespecting to the staff
Humber REC staff (Ancien employé) – Toronto, ON – 8 avril 2019
This job never gets old and always has you wondering what is going to happen next. You spend your day supervising sports, at times players can get upset with you if something goes wrong but other then that amazing
