Poor accounting - expense cheques either wrong, late or not at all. Employees expected to ring up personal credit cards to purchase building supplies.
Managers are not proactive. The buildings require more work than the organization is willing to deal with. Happy tenants are rare. Quality of life for the tenants is poor, at best. Building security is lacking. Criminal activity is common in the multi unit buildings.

Maintaining public image is the organization's priority.

It keeps funding money rolling in. It's a shame that the dollars rarely end up where they are truely needed.

a very passionate group of individuals that are working towards ending homelessness in the greater Edmonton area. Watching and receiving visual confirmation that you have assisted someone in moving forward in life is a very big sense of accomplishment.

The atmosphere was calm and team work was the best asset of the company. Most days we started of with assessing participants if they are eligible for the housing program, we used an assessment tool called the SPDAT, which classified participant as a priority to less priority. A team meeting will be held every Friday to hand over eligible participants to housing workers a nd they would start the housing process based on our assessment and participants needs.

Fair wages. Short staffed for an ever growing workload. Regularly pulled off of tasks prior to completion. Unsafe working conditions. No schedule or compensation for on call duties. Overall poorly managed.
