BOH is nice enough, always friendly and approachable team.
FOH can be decent but a little cliquey. Some really grouchy staff.
FOH and BOH management plays favorites, openly disparage managers and staff in front of you. Makes it awkward and hard to trust that you are being treated well given this type of behaviour.
Chef is known to verbally abuse staff. Has 'good days' and 'bad days' which dictate how carefully the staff should engage with him and which rules will and will not be enforced. This is understood amongst everyone. As a new hire, I was warned to keep a distance and to 'be careful' with the chef. In my opinion, a bad temper is not a substitute for a personality, nor is it 'just a thing that chef's have.'
Really uncomfortable environment for bipoc. Staff does not reflect the city that we live in.
