Great Company to Start your Career With
Senior Child Care Worker (Ancien employé) –  Vancouver, BC6 février 2019
Hollyburn was a great company to begin working with. Towards the end, I grew frustrated with saying the same things over and over again. Staff, Supervisors and Management would listen to you but not really hear what you were saying or do anything about it. I found that they were hiring more and more people who did not have a license to drive or any education in the field and would pay them more than those who have been working in the field and went to school for it.

Fed if working 24 hour shifts, lots of training opportunities, different opportunities
Points négatifs
Listening but not hearing staff, management is not accountable for their actions/words

Huge scope for growth and professional development

A company in the midst of rapid growth brings employee advantages and challenges.
Hollyburn has the making and vision to be an excellent organisation. However dramatic growth in recent years and a skilled labour shortage has lead to some growing pains.
Hollyburn offers a fair benefits package, a market average (all be it low) wage, room to move up the organisation and career advancement.
With this unfortunately comes high demands and responsibility, an impossible case load, constant staff turn over on the front line and frequent changes in managment.
This is one of the most challenging and in turn rewarding companies in the area.

Exposure to a vast variety of skill sets, fantastic clients
Points négatifs
Un-supportive management, poor job culture, cannot accomodate self-care
