The management here treats their employees very poorly and don't really care much about the overall of the restaurant. breakfast is busy due to hotel coupons. if it wasn't for this the place would sink. Very hard to do your job when the inventory is so low and the lack of communication is very high.
Working at the Holiday Inn was best experience I could have ever had. My colleagues were absolutely wonderful, supportive and always with a helping hand. The Holiday Inn Brighton Seafront will always be a second family to me.
worked at Niagara Falls. super busy during holidays but dead other wise. So in holidays you worked hard with the regular paid. Super small tip out. Only $2-$5 per night per person : You are replaceable in this place
Free staff meals
Cut off in winter.

Enjoyed my job at Holiday Inn, wages were fair for piece rate and it wasn't bad work. Chose to quit due to a room cleaner that became upset that I was almost a good of cleaner as they were and personally went to my work cart and moved my items, relocated my cart and they still went to my cart to take my items. Our manager did very little to stop them because they were the top cleaner.
I found working at holiday inn , was just a day job rotine where i'm not allowed to express my self in anyway...plus the fact that they threat you in other directions everyday that you can lose lose your job, with the challenge we have to put up with other team mates...then the pay average. It's horrible.
Part of being a banquet server included polishing utensils and glassware, setting up tables. Another part, is actually serving guests, and attending to their needs and requests, which is the most demanding. Lastly, there is clean up and clearing toward the end of the event.
