It use to be a really fun place to work and felt like a family. Now it has lost that feeling. I have learned a lot on how to be in the customer service business
No room for advancement
Enjoyed working there...only left because my daughter was little and needed me more at the time. The people here are really good to work for ...atleast they were when i was there..its been a few years now so I don’t know if anything or anyone has changed
Wasn't that bad of a place coworkers were nice. But the head housekeeper was very demanding & would talk to you as if your a child who don't know job. I was working 7 days a week 12 hours a day & when I said was to much she told me to quit so I did.

work day 9-5:30, management were awesome in all departments. Everyone from front desk to housekeeping great team players. When needed front desk help with housekeepers to clean rooms when super busy. The best part of the job always having management tell all staff they are doing an awesome job. End of busy summer season we would a potluck pool party with staff and their family.
long hours on week ends
I clean 16 Rooms a day in 8 hrs. Check ins, check outs and occupied rooms. I also run a whole laundry room Washing, drying and pressing linens for 144 rooms in the hotel, a restaurant and many banquet rooms. The Best part of the job is the people, Co-workers & Guests. It is a very friendly and happy work place!
I work mornings/evenings and sometimes the grave yard shift- The staff is very friendly- I have upgraded my computer skills while working at holiday inn - down fall of this job is there is no benefits and lots of miscommunication
My typical day at work was laundry duties/house person. I learned to interact with customers and co-workers. Management was always helpful ,if I had questions or concerns. Great bunch or girls, got along with everyone. A very physical job. Seeing a satisfied guest.
Staying there during March Break with family and co-workers.
budy day organization Work well as a team member and independently at a fast paced environment • Ability to follow written and spoken instructions, and attention to detail with prioritization • Some computer knowledge, certification in First Aid and CPR Level C, OSSA and WHMIS • Working with cash and processing transactions • Meeting deadlines for tasks and multitasking ability.
What to expect on a typical day at work: fast paced environment, paying attention to detail, physically demanding, working under minimal supervision. It is mostly busy on weekends, but when it becomes overbearing the employees work in a team to help out which is great.
good work environment with co-workers, team work involved.
work hours vary depending on how many rooms were sold in the hotel.
