Enjoy working here but things would be easier with competent management. Do not feel management realizes there should be a work life balance. Saving money on the backs of their employees.
This hotel has gone down hill so much. The management are so poor and not fair to the staff. They hire people who are new and give them all the hours. They don't treat people with respect. The rooms are dirty. The duvets are never changed. This is overall worst place to work. They need different management. They hire a manager for housekeeping who don't know what they are doing.
Nothing good about working there
HORRIBLE, I was hired on for breakfast and evenings, they gave me only one shift a month and then would take that and give it to someone else, I was currently a single mom who needed this job and the hours, I finally decided to go to school in September and when I told them they said that they would be giving me a lot of mornings so I of course had to quit because they weren't very cooperative or supportive. The other workers were extremely rude and think that they were better than everyone else.

A typical day at work is very fast paced and people orientated! In this job I get to meet lots of people from around the world whether it be for business or pleasure, new guests, or ones who have been coming for years, its always enjoyable to hear interesting stories and get to know people and give them the best experience possible with our business. I also get to do lots of paper work and balancing of accounts, data entry and end of day reports. There can be a heavy work load at times but can always be made manageable to be completed on time. The hardest part of my job is problem solving, I always have to be fixing problems whether it be via accounts and paper work or dealing with guest issues and complaints. The most enjoyable part of my job is being able to fix those problems and leave my manager and guests happy with the outcome and way it was resolved, to me there is no better feeling then doing the job right the first time and to the best of my ability.
Friendly enjoyable work environment.
Dealing with complaints and issues on a daily basis.
This is your normal hotel/hospitality provider with very high ecpectations to providing very good service, in my capacity I provide and expect the team I supervise to provide excellent service as well and by the same token have fun doing that..... Typically my day is full of questions asked of me and i always try to offer effective resolutions keeping both guest and hotel in mind, also setting staff in the right direction....... I learned to listen very well and to express empathhy....... I treat my co-workers very well, I listen to them and I ask for their imput in situations, I work very well with them..... The most enjoyable part of my job, at the end of the day that we have met the needs of all guest of our hotel will be a memorable place once they leave...... The hardest part of my job, that question I really cannot answer effectively as I realy don't find my job hard........
Very good health benefits, scheduling flexibility, meals paid.
Sometimes I may work double shifts because of sick calls.
