started out ok and slowly spiraled into poor. Bad management, unsupportive team, unrealistic expectations. Money was decent, on a good week. Scraped pennies on a bad one.
For those who are more like lions, and less like sheep, this is a great place to work. The work starts off difficult and becomes easy, while your hourly rate increases due to the piecework pay style. Drivers are taken care of as long as you take care of GFS best interests. Important note: You will be working physically most of your day, and it can get tough and tiring, and then you have to still drive an hour back. This job requires a strong worker
No matter what you do or how you do it you only hear about how you could have done it better and not in a constructive way. Not to say I need constant praise but some would have been nice. Management is currently big on micro management and it is rare that they let people try doing things their own way. There are a lot of good people that work at the Winnipeg division but it had been an extremely stressful work environment for the last year or so while I was employed there. The most enjoyable part of working for the company was my peers and the benefits.
Performance based pay is a good incentive and their benefits program is second to none.
Micro managed and poor work life balance
preaches about culture and integrity but only those who manipulate and kiss butt progress. Cliques are abound. Bullying. Management plays favorites & lies to your face. Manipulation is rewarded with company wide acknowledgement & advancement.
benefits and pay
work/life balance is bad, favoritism, bullying.
