Avis d'employé sur Tigre Géant
Chaotic but primarily because of the customers
The few months I spent at Giant Tiger were fun for me but the job environment is definitely not for everyone. Management is fairly chill most of the time although during rush periods and depending on who the management was for that day I would occasionally get told off for extremely minor things. Every few weeks there would be an incident with a customer doing something above and beyond a minor infraction. If you're able to laugh at the absurdity of how some customers act this shouldn't be a problem. All of my coworkers were nice to me personally but there was a clear gossip problem. It can also be extremely boring although that's to be expected at any retail job. Hours are good and never changed much. Overall not a bad job for a bit but the work culture needs some improvement.

When I first started, it was the best! Everyone got along, helped each other out and we were just a tight knit family. A few years after and now it’s every dept for themselves and all managers only care about their team and no one else. The department managers play favouritism so much that if you’re not on they’re good side....WATCH OUT! The store manager is the worse. Good person in general, but as a manager. The worse! Barely at work and goes against so much policy. Defends the bullies in the store. Attendance means nothing. So if you miss 11, 12, 13x...no worries. You won’t get in trouble. But for the workers who are loyal and come to work everyday. They have to work harder because a few people keep missing. Just very toxic, high school all over. Lots of gossip goes around and everyone watches each other like a hawk and rats each other out to their favourite managers. Can’t trust anyone.
