As a cashier the job was repetitive but gave lots of opportunity to work one on one with customers. The more you work at the register the faster you get. Moved up fairly quickly.

Supervising gives me the responsibility of not only a step further in customer service and satisfaction, the staff also relies on me for all needs including their breaks, emotional support and also for any questions they may have. I also need to be able to identify people to prevent frauds, and deal with money transactions, both counting money at the end of the day and processing debit and credit card transactions.

My Typical day at work would be mantaining and supervising the front-end of the store which includes keeping it clean, making sure there are no long line ups, and keeping everyone busy with a job, and sending people on their breaks/lunches. Also, as a supervisor, I have to count the cash trays and balance the office before leaving. Personally, I love working in the office, since it requires me to deal with money and somewhat relates to the field of study i want to go into which is accounting. The hardest part of the job in my opinion is being able to manage the front-end alongside the office without any time delays. This job has helped me learn about time-management and also how to communicate with different customers. This job has also made me very "thick-skinned" and I have more control over my emotions and how I deal with situations.
