I really liked working at five guys until managements switched hands, From then on it was just bad. This manager did not have any experience with businesses or had any kind of lead role like the one given to her at five guys before. So she was really bias and was hard to communicate with
Working at Five Guys and Burger and Fries is best because all work as a team and we always satisfy the customer. In free time we make sure our store looks really good due which our area manager always appreciated us, it also make customer feels good.
a typical day at five guys begins with morning prep, however much meat and cheese is needed for the day, sending out our orders, and opening the front as we prepare for opening time, i've learned what it really means to work hard and perserve, my crew members and I know how to make work enjoyable, after getting the job done that is.
working here is hard and long most days. The place is really hard to clean and needs constant cleaning because people just throw peanut shells on the floor because they serve free peanuts. They depend too much on their "secret shopper" bonus and don't really give raises and to get the bonus everything has to be perfect. Perfect means constant smiling and always having to be overly nice and working fast with only a 15-30 min break no matter how long the shift.
The moment I stepped into the work place I had to transform into a bubbly, extroverted worker as this was the Five Guys brand. I loved all of my co workers and managers because of how understanding they were. The only con about the work place was how greasy I became after each shift, this was something I learned to tolerate and deal with however.
Free meals every time I worked
Poor work conditions (grease all over the restaurant)
