Good and well-developed training program to help new hires to start working in the office.
The supportive management team creates a great working atmosphere.
Competitive salary package with benefits.
Friendly working environment.
The Services division is lead by a Leadership team who understands and supports everyone on site working at properties. It is always a collaborative effort to achieve success. The work culture is positive and encouraging. The Services department continues to assist those who want career progression within the company and I continue to enjoy my role since starting. It is comforting to know there is a path for me to progress within FirstServices Residential and there is a solid leadership team always available to help.
They have a management team that tries to intimidate you and they are constantly making you feel like you are incompetent and actually insult you. If you get injured you can lose your position. If you go on vacation they get mad and getting a raise is impossible.
Felt very supportive since day one. Blessed to have 2 professional people assisting in the office in daily operations.A very supportive management team (Regional Director) and the accounting team as well. A very team work vibe.
The hardest part was the period for the 1st and 2nd year warranties as the building were newly build. However on the other hand it was very helpful as experience.
I now have a foot/ leg injury largely because of having to pull heavy equipment without proper safety practices. People usually don't last long. There's no incentive to do a great job, especially as a low level cleaner.
..good company to work in. Job pay was ok . They need to improve the organisation of managers. But its good to start up in work industry. I would like to ask them to improve pay scale of head concierge
This job is for those desperately in need of one, ready to sell your soul to the devil. Management is of poor quality and disregards efforts made by employees. Majors mistakes in paychecks, intentionally done in order to cut you some money. Best advice, don't waste your energy for a company that doesn't value any efforts and sacrifices made for them. AVOID ALL COST.
Nice work group culture. Archaic management culture. Lack of transparency and overall a sexist environment. There has been some changes in the last year that should have been adopted 4-5 years ago before employee engagement plummeted. The organization needs a leader with better people skills and willing to lead by example.
Learned a lot on job, was promoted 2 times, from Security Guard to Security Supervisor, and from Supervisor to Site Manager.
Made several decisions on staff, performance, recording skills came in handy. Liaison with Owners, Residents and Contractors.
Schedulers like with any security company out there can give you a hard time for no good reason, but if you can find a place you enjoy working in, and are willing to learn the ropes of that particular site, you might have a chance at working as a front desk concierge for a while.
The company tells you that your uniform is paid back to you after you finish paying it off with each incoming pay-day, but the truth is that they don't tell you about how much they deduct from your actual return bonus after the uniform is paid. You're basically working several shifts for free to pay off the uniform in the grand scheme of things.
The home office is too far away from Toronto, so if you're working in the GTA that's a big issue and you have to pretty much dedicate an entire day to going there and back all the way.
The management doesn't know anything. A bunch of arrogant and ignorant people. They are running around like a chicken with their head cut off. Only a few loyal employees keep this company going. The rest are just opportunists trying desperately to climb the career ladder stepping all over people in their rush to the top of the corporate ladder.
Horrible company, lousy pay, employees moving to other companies shortly after being hired.
to clean place and keep it clean they well show you and you have to wich and learned how to do it there no hardest part about the job at all and and work as team i be real here and say some place i be at they dont no how to work as team
