My friend helped me get the job (who no longer works there btw.) was great at first. Was trained and promised to soon become a driver and make the regular pay rate which was around $20/hr. They boycotted whenever I would ask about being on my own and having my own route. At the time upon hiring they needed 2 drivers... 2-3 months later after bugging em so many times, they said he had no route for me. I spent months for 10-12 hours a day being paid $80 for the day when I worked LONG HOURS. I was extremely upset as I needed things to pay for and they could not deliver on their promises.
FedEx Ground Package Handler (Ancien employé) – Richmond, BC – 6 novembre 2019
Job is labour demanding and you work for every dollar for the 3-4 hours a day per week. Good place for someone out of highschool until they realize it's not a long term career job. Loading trucks can get easy over time, but some drivers give loaders a hard time and dont appreciate a good load due to personal reasons. Also a good place to work if your a robot or dont mind being treated like one.
3 years of working in the company and have to list it down as one of the worst jobs I've ever done.
Free lunches on days with safety meetings, medical, dental
Courier Driver (Employé actuel) – Vaughan, ON – 3 novembre 2019
Been working for 3 years and still trying to escape from this place looking for better opportunities 1. Management and your supervisors will be useless at times and you have to accept them without saying a word 2. Trucks are garbage and even a 2yr old kid can say that and please don’t get shocked working in a temperature of -30C in a truck with a broken heater 3. Don’t expect any rewards and growth opportunities for your hard work. It doesn’t matter how hard you work, you can hear managers saying “I am paying you for to do whatever I say to do” 4. Please feel comfortable when you have to carry boxes which are 6feet tall and weigh 140lbs by yourself and if you are looking for somebody to help you through it...i am sorry nobody doesn’t.
And on top of that you see a lot of arrogant people in your day who feel they own FedEx and all the courier drivers are slaves.
