Great Company

Hands down the greatest company I have ever worked in. Local management have some issues but overall a great place to work at. Outstanding work culture, great benefits including pension, amazing co-workers and so many opportunities for growth. Job can be little tough in Alberta winters but you get used to it. Overall, a five star company indeed.

Pay is above industry standard. Benefits are low. Be prepared to learn everything on own and know everything about company policies and procedures on day one. Long hours. Very needing customers, alwaus upset and rude.

Heavy lifting and unexpected problems come up daily. Poor management can cause a lot of issues but overall a great place to work with great benefits (ie flying standby for discounted rates on lots of airlines, dental/health benefits with no contribution, etc).

It's a good job. The only part I don't like is the part-time hours only 17.5 hrs a week. The staff is great and management takes the time to help.....

but simply not enough hours. Every single paycheck I've ever received has been different. Overworked during peak season and not enough work otherwise. Management is great and so are the co-workers but there is a revolving door so don't get too attached.

My biggest enjoyment is the teamwork!! You're never left on your own, there's always someone willing to help you no matter what the case may be. The workers there are funny and affectionate and it does feel like you're a part of a big family. Another good things is that they value everyones security above all else.

FedEx Express is a great establishment to work in, management is exceptional and stays and up to date. the workplace culture is very welcoming, the hardest part of the job is working late hours, the most enjoyable part of the job is working in a divers environment.

Can you skip your break and drive 9 hours like a psycho?

3-4 days a week your manager will try to bully you into skipping your lunch break because they want to overload you with packages. Some days your in trouble for not taking a lunch break, some days they are asking you not to take one.

The other jobs they also under staff you on as well. a 4-5 person team will have 3 people scheduled and you just have to deal with it. You ask your manager about it and they pretend they have no idea whats going on. HR department never calls you back so if you have an issue with anything forget getting any help.

This is a company that makes up new rules every other day. There are so many rules that they conflict other rules they have given.
The new rules are set to always take something away from you, never benefit your day at all.

Lots of old conservative employees at management and sr management level making any shift towards more dynamic environment literally impossible.

Low paying, very hard work and absolutely terrible job.

Very hard work. Managers yell and belittle you if you work too slowly. Its literally throwing boxes onto a belt for 5 hours. Only the favourited workers get full time or decent hours. These favourites also are disrespectable and get away with it too. They used to swear and threaten me. When reported management did nothing. Not all workers are bad there but most really are. You also work in high heat while the managers sit in air conditioned offices. Feels like the military rather than a job you’d enjoy and worked hard in school to get. Please trust me as I used to work here.

Working in the Richmond Call Centre is basically a job... would not consider it a career. I love the employees I work with, but it is extremely hard to advance or move into other departments within the company unless you are willing to "outwait" years for employees to retire or quit.
Call Centre work is high stress, management worries a LOT about stats and being world class. They mean well, but the company is so big that you are sometimes just treated as a "number".
Very high attrition in the Call Centre... 2 groups of new hires are trained every year (16 people in a class) and less than half are still there a year or two later. Most people will stay for a bit and then find something better.
Benefits are good... pay is alright. It's a job.
Booking vacation days is a bit frustrating... not enough "slots" to book off for such a large group. You won't get any days off near a long weekend or summer time unless you have a high senority.

Excellent and well established company, good employees to work with. Equipment is relatively new and well maintained, and the company works on a well established schedule.

Job is great benefits r great management has big time favourites. U can find other places where u do the same tasks but get paid more. Never a set time to end shifts times can range from 3-8 hours a day.
