Great Place to Work!
Administration (Employé actuel) –  Calgary, AB29 mai 2019
I have been with EFC for 6 years and it is a great place to work! This is my first position in the aviation industry and it is eye opening and inspiring to see the passion individuals working here have for aviation. The people make the work environment most enjoyable. We have a great team of employees at EFC. Some even consider them extended family.

I enjoy the work I do and appreciate the work/life balance and flexibility provided by management. It is truly a work hard / play hard atmosphere.

The compensation and benefits are great!

Overall, this is a great place to work!

Unstable work environment
Customer Service Representative (Employé actuel) –  Edmonton, AB15 janvier 2018
Work environment is too unstable, the company tends to pay a little higher but does not guarantee you permanent employment. They will typically fire you before you become permanent so they can save money on benefits. The managers have tendency to not understand the core problems and finds best to fire people rather than focusing on improvements.

Suck the life from an otherwise fun job
Aircraft Refueler (Employé actuel) –  Calgary, AB12 octobre 2017
The company has gone through a series of changes in attitude, culture and management in recent years. It's too bad that a "do as I say" attitude has taken hold and not using the available talent pool to it's advantage. This extends to managers with new hires wanting to "make their mark". All of this amounts to nothing more than marking a pole like our four legged friends, and demonstrates the ineffective choices for managers that the company makes.
There is absolutely no chance or opportunity to advance from your position, with the only movement being awarded through attrition or by being "old buddies" with those in power.
The job should be enjoyable and stress free to those who understand the aviation culture of "on time departures" and the critical nature of giving clients the service they require to make their jobs and ours possible. Sadly this concept is foreign to the bosses at EFC.
Points positifs
Working with a few great people.

Good pay, little else
Line Technician (Ancien employé) –  Edmonton, AB28 novembre 2016
The strength of this company comes in its pay. They pay higher than the world average for the positions that they have. Unfortunately that is not competitive with the truck driving industry that they would be competing with for employment.

They management uses ideologies from the 1980's when running their business and do not take the employee into consideration when making changes. 0 notification of shift changes, 0 reasons given for anything.

There is no thought to system wide changes that would affect the personal. This company is very reactive and although they should be able to predict certain behaviors of clients they seem to be surprised at every down turn and end up laying off half their staff only to post rehires of that same position within days.

During lay offs they will keep the people who under perform and let go of long time employees who have acquired skills and familiarity with clients and contractors. Every time a pilot or client comes in they see new faces and those new faces need to be taught the individual needs of the client time and time again.

If you want a job that pays well but has no future (especially if you get promoted) with a company that eats itself from the inside out. EFC is the place to go.
Points positifs
Good pay, 24/7 shifts
Points négatifs
Short Sighted Management, Constant Layoffs, Bad Work Life Balance, Underskilled Co-Workers

Terrible Company to work for
Customer Service (Ancien employé) –  Edmonton, AB3 novembre 2016
Terrible experience. Worked full time for a year, understaffed and overworked. Revolving door of new employees. Management and supervisors are friends, so unless you're "in" good luck at advancement, or any sense of job security.

I'd skip this one if I were you!
Points positifs
Get to work around aircraft
Points négatifs
Long hours, no benefits, no flight benefits, poor management, terrible scheduling, under qualified people currently in integral positions. Gong show

Hardly any time off, will work you until you die
Customer Service Representative (Employé actuel) –  Fort McMurray28 juillet 2014
This is a hostile place to work, where the employees often gossip about one another behind each others back.

Management and Supervisors are friends with some staff which creates a toxic environment if you are not on the 'inside'.
Points positifs
You get a pay check.
Points négatifs
Long hours, no public holidays off, low pay, abuse from customers.

Overbearing and stressful at most times
Ramp Agent (Employé actuel) –  Edmonton, Alberta15 juin 2014
Management is always in and out and the hours are confusing. The schedule constantly changes and they constantly request over-time, and if you don't take it they guilt trip you. Right now they're trying to obtain as many contracts as possible, but they refuse to hire an adequate amount of workers.

A typical day involves a fair amount of sitting around and then large rushes at times, usually incapable of being taken care of with the readily available workers. No phones, no windows, no televisions, no electronics, no reading.

The enjoyable part of the job is the decent pay for lack of education as well as the occasional encounter with vip clients.
Points négatifs
poor management

good easy job, terrible management
Aircraft refueler (Ancien employé) –  edmonton, ab21 janvier 2014
work is easy enough, not hard. good fun people. good consistent hours. however the management is terrible. they don't listen to employee's about complaints or try to fix problems. lack of communication. you worry everyday when you go to work if you're going to do something or say something that will get you fired. there is no job security. they also withheld my vacation pay after I quit.
