I personally found Dyancorp to be an excellent company to work at. They are a new pressure vessel and piping company with lots of energy and room for upwards mobility. They have two shops, one in Calgary and one in Grande Prairie. They have in-house engineering and pride themselves on being able to get complicated jobs done in a short amount of time.
Downside: They are in the gas business, which is cyclical. When times get tough, people get laid off. That's the way it is.
