Co-Works are great but middle management is NOT technical
The current management team is not technical at all, they have no idea how to bring Enercare into the even the 20th century, forget about the Digital journey. Major changes started in Q2-2019, when they started promoting Project Managers &/or contractors to middle management position. It seems like if you know &/or worked with CEO previously you automatically get promoted even if you were NOT technically skilled for the position. The company needs a real CTO that knows current technology very bad. Two external vendors were commissioned to get feedback from employees but nothing was implemented. One of most important recommended was the hiring a CTO. Management asks for your real world experience but never really listens. Overall employee approval surveys also not confident with management team and current toxic work environment. Enercare is literally being held together with Duct tape, that why I left when I had the chance. No chance of any real advancement.

Service Contractor in Ottawa, ON
Was a contractor
As a contractor working for Enercare was great. The nature of the business is tough cause terrain is always changing and is not for the nimble. Enercare is under new owner ship but the culture there has not changed. Great place to work or contract from.
