There is freedom to do your job not a mountain of forms to fill out like some companies.
I was not interested in any of the outside work activities there seemed to be a lot of pressure to fit in with 25 to 35 group outside of the job.
I was sent by union to 1 job was told by site supervisor that I'd be there for 3 years. Then they brought some old guy who had been on previous jobs in the area and laid me off. The next day they called me to go to another job that was a significant distance from my house but I agreed to go there anyways because I felt by going there it would show them my desire and drive to stay with the company. I worked at that site for over 6 months incurring heavy travel costs only to get laid off instead of getting moved back to my original site or another one in the area.
Great working place great people great opportunities for someone who is looking for a career and learn about trade.Managment is very helpful when it comes to explaining the tasks and even if person has no experience with it they would take time to show them everything they would need to know
My direct manager and site supervisor was great but the new project manager was inexperienced and lacked people skills making it difficult to work there. Other sites and the overall management though was much better at EllisDon. I would go back if my current role ceased and I was given the opportunity to. Great place to work overall!!
Frustrating Experience, provided with no real level of mentorship. Always felt like being thrown to a fire, which was started by someone with a higher salary than me, with no consequences for there actions
