They only hire female servers and hosts. Lots of sexism happening and male managers prey on staff. No room for growth and no support from upper management who are clueless about the day to day in the restaurant. Would not recommend.
Working there (based in my experience) is not good I had a racist manager who is always hated me at work. Also he gave me a double shift without asking or telling me for 3 months. And wants me to work hard (work all around) while other employees can work easily or can sit and take a break while I can’t.
Fun group, had a bunch of laughs working for these guys. They are a leader in pub culture in Vancouver and have been for a while now. Lifestyle isn't for everyone but if you want to work nightlife, this is a good company to do it with.
Donnelly Group provides a warm atmosphere with room for growth within the company. I enjoy the friendliness of the workplace environment and the interpersonal relationships that I fostered with respective co-workers.
Having worked in food and beverage for several years I’ve seen the best and worst companies in the industry. Donnelly is one of the best. They seem to attract a certain personality type and the restaurant I worked for had a ton of awesome ppl to work with. Very different from the robot corporate companies I’ve worked with in the past.
Worked here and had a blast. Amazing co-workers and management. Customers were great! Worked busy days and slow ones. Gave me a great taste for what the hospitality industry really is! Hoping to find a place similar!
You are disposable and they work you to the bone. You could have just finished work 21 days in a row and doing clopens but they will shaft you without notice because the managers buddies wants to try bartending. Job security is based on how often you drink with the donnelly social group and how many people you bring into their venue.
