It was a diffident learning experience. Scary and eye opening, but the staff and leaders help you through the hole thing. If you ever get the chance please take it . It’s a big part of Hamilton history. You get all kinds of training and support. They are the most caring and supportive company you could ever work for .

During my time with Dofasco, I truly enjoyed that type of atmosphere. I like the greasy dirty jobs. Granted I was young while I had the opportunity to work here. This company is the one who started my path to work in plants. I am currently looking to join another team that I can grow with.
I had a 4 month co-op term with DOFASCO and it was a great place to work. I was hoping to get my co-op term renewed for a 1 year placement and then eventually hired. Unfortunately the company sold and cancelled there co-op program.
This company protects their lazy workers, but does not treat new employees with any respect. It is extremely difficult to become a non-contract worker without having to take the abuse on a regular basis.
12 Hr Continental Shifts

I wish I could have stayed longer, but job was a contract one. My dad used to work at Dofasco, so I would have liked to continue the lineage. Overall, great staff, great job.
Burlington street has gross industrial smell
Dofasco is a very well known company, which has been successful in a competitive market. This company is intent on continual improvement, and has succeeded in motivating their employees with excellent benefits, and highly competitive wages. This environment was efficient in providing a finished product, however was lacking in self-motivated employees. It was a pleasure to take on the responsibilities of an Acting Supervisor. There were challenges and responsibilities placed upon me during this time, as a result I advanced my understanding and competency required within this role.
