This company has a very high turnover to the point that if you reach your one year anniversary, you are considered "senior". There are many problems with this company including low pay, poor hiring practices, lack of opportunity to grow, internal office politics, and general lack of professionalism. Because of the low pay (which is slightly over minimum wage), they can only attract people who would probably have difficulty getting hired elsewhere. Almost all promotions are internal, but the problem is that they have the habit of promoting the current management's best buddy and not necessarily the most qualified person. It reached the point where great managers run for the hills to work for a better company once they get enough management experience probably because they are tired of covering for incompetent staff. The unfortunate truth is that this company is overpowered by favouritism so if you are best buddies with management, they tend to give you the shifts that everybody wants to have. I also don't like how there's lack of discipline towards lazy staff. Meanwhile they take the hardworking staff's efforts for granted and they expect those staff to do the work for multiple people. The irony of this job is that coworkers and management stressed me out more than the customers. I have met some good managers and coworkers, but unfortunately most of the good ones left which made me think that they are probably too good for this company.

Being here since the inception of Dexterra, I have noticed a positive shift in the culture and values of the company. Leaders are providing opportunities for managers to display ingenuity and accountability. Some folks are realizing that they can't accept accountability and move on. A rewarding and a challenging place to be to grow a career along side a growing company
fun place to work staff are great to work with lots of training modules on company site page lots of interaction with many different site personal through Belleville kingston Peterborough
set your own hours on certain job sites
don't pay enough for certain job skills
Would not recommend. Illegal work practices; management is untrained; emotional intelligence = 0; Run away, run far far away from this company. The corporate culture talks the talk, but doesn't do any practice. All the same mistakes from the prior company PLUS ALL NEW ONES!

Co-workers are friendly, as are management, and the job overall is fairly enjoyable. In fact most tasks are reasonably relaxing, and can be done without much effort. Possibly not for those whom dislike monotonous work.
I worked in the evenings for 2 hours cleaning a accounting office by myself. I learned how to work alone or with others,Management was ok but did not see manager that often unless there was a complaint, which made me feel alone and unappreciated. Hardest part of my job was cleaning in the winter time. The most enjoyable part of my job was to know and hear from the people that i was doing a great job from them
let you work on your pace
no incentives for employees
Single handedly the worst employer EVER. Most of the management have no experience in this industry, nor actual qualification or education to support their positions. Many of the office staff are students with inflated job titles. Not a workplace where advancement is possible. Management WILL pressure you to mislead the customer. Accountability isn't part of their make up. Avoid this company.
Dishonesty is the corporate culture.
