Non productive and poisonous work place

Worked for almost three non productive years. Internal politics, favoritism and lack of leadership vision make it a poisonous workplace. Need to implement concepts of premium work ethics, people first etc.

Toxic workplace - not good for tech careers

This place is only good if you are just getting started and need to get introduced to toxic corporate culture, full of politics and with a blatant disregard for merit and expertise. Working hours are really long, not compensated, there is no work-life balance and recognition is based on how friendly you are to the manager or partner, not on your actual contributions. There are typically one or two seniors who are very knowledgeable, too tired to look for other jobs and are doing the work for the juniors (who are billed as seniors to customers). The very few managers that care about the human aspect have less recognition as partners only care about revenue, so they end up leaving. Salary and benefits are ok, but nothing special. They do land important customers and big projects, just like any other of the big four firms.

Dishonest Self Serving

Smart colleagues that analyze to the hundredth degree. Partners are very self serving and most have weak leadership skills. Partners in role to sell but do so at all costs....over sell, under deliver. Sense of entitlement is out of this world. Company exploits young and disposes of older employees. Also, not a good place if you want to have a family. Nearly all partners had had divorces.

Good Company

The culture of this company was very shady, however with this being said I was able to learn emergency repair technique on various systems mainly because service was refused from various trades. The experience was invaluable in my opinion and I do not regret working here.

I loved working for Deloitte as there was always something new to learn, a great network of professionals to get support from and a great community. The work life balance and salary were not great for my current needs thus I decided to become and independent consultant, but think Deloitte was a great company to work for and the besting accelerated learning experience after my MBA.

Deloitte is the leader within what was once the accounting industry, but has become so much more. I have been with the firm for close to 5 years and am very happy. I am treated well, paid well and have a lot of flexibility with my work schedule. Senior management genuinely cares about retaining Talent and is very supportive. They routinely conduct surveys on employee experiences and are always looking for ways to improve. The larger offices include a fitness facility and café. The people are great also. Very friendly. Lots of opportunity to learn.

Fantastic learning opportunities to work in the consulting practice with Deloitte. The culture is very specific to the geography thus the Toronto office may differ significantly from the London (UK) office. Hours can be intense (typical hours 7 AM to 7 PM) on a demanding project or reasonable if between projects. Travel will depend on the industry you are aligned to and your level.
