In a typical day you'd be required to hook your tractor to an assigned trailer and deliver it to city on manifest. All night driving so no interaction with any management. Hardest part of job is the winter weather conditions and the best part would be the independence that comes with working alone
Create and confirm orders in company database, solve delivery problems via telephone call center
Act as a liaison between drivers and clients orders by checking and creating of documents for the travel outside and inside of Canada
Verify the respect of the accuracy of condition of the transport of products (temperature, respect of dangerous material and his documentation requested for eventual police control, etc…)
Due to the climate of constant change in both leadership and trying to identify its core competencies, this organization transitioned through many executives. In my brief time with them they had 4 presidents and continued to try and find their niche in the logistical market
Company to too top heavy with management. Never happy they always want more more more. Training was dependent on your coworkers to provide and they are actually your competition for the most part so obviously bare minimum of training provided. You had to know how to work the system to your advantage or be the bosses "favorite" to be successful which was difficult to do with the poor training provided. Systems and processes were ridiculously repetitive and unnecessary.
Micro managed to death. Too many others allowed to encroach on your territory making success almost impossible. Think twice before you apply!!!
This company is extremely disorganized in all departments.
The management team is what needs to change. Lying and turning employees against each other for entrainment purposes will not make your team thrive and be successful.
They will tell you to your face that you are doing well-but will belittle and destroy your work ethic behind your back. You exhaust yourself to do a high intensity job to barely get over minimum wage, or a simple thank you.
Favoritism was also common. There was nobody to turn to for advice or have in your corner if something was wrong.
Go elsewhere, honestly you’ll be much more appreciated.
This company could potentially thrive, but a desperate need in management and supervisors needs to happen.
No worth loads for US. You will not get paid your waiting time. If delivery time 6 am Load pick up Time by 6 pm without any pay for such waiting. Only you will be forced to cover Pennsylvania loads. Waste of your time, no one a appreciate your work, no one thinks for company benefits every one wants to now your head in front of them, lot of bullshits . Forced to give them one star. Zero star for them.
Overall not the bets job, only good part about it was the hours. People were rude and not inviting. Made it feel like you were back in high school. During its slow months time seems to stretch on forever. No matter how good of a job you do they don't give you any credit.
mangagement isn't good, co-workers are rude and childish.
