Apply with a resume, and wait for a call. If you want bonus points ask for the manager or owner and give him your resume directly. Everyone there is friendly as long as you give them respect.

Just be yourself, they usually look for up beat outgoing people. They have a very fun but fast paced work environment so they are looking for people to suit that.

I think to prepare for an interview for Dairy Queen, you should just be prepared to know your strengths and weaknesses. It is important to be able to give examples of when these skills came into place and how they might have helped in previous work experiences.
