I didn't want to move to China and had to stay in Ireland so this was a great experience for me after graduating with my BA. I got to stay at home and teach Chinese kids from Ireland and earn a decent enough salary. I am happy with the year's contract that I fulfilled and would consider reapplying. Some of the coworkers can be very negative and draining so I think it was best to do my job and not spend too much time on social media sites talking to peers.... CS do their best and IT too.... they sometimes interrupt lessons to tell you to be more active, use TPR or make some suggestions which is necessary to ensure that the student/customer is getting the best lesson possible. You have the power to negotiate the wage you want or feel like you deserve when you commence the contract and we are not supposed to discuss salaries with other coworkers. Dada , though, have been fair with my salary. I had to take time off due to illness and dealt with this via the app/ handing in a sick note. Another time, a laptop got stolen abroad and I was convinced I would lose my job but by communicating with them, we resolved the issues. The lessons, anyways, are really fun sometimes!! I loved doing a mixture of trials and having regular students. With trials you are motivated to entice new students to sign up to Dada and with regular students you build up relationships and get to know their strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes and thus, you can decide some games/music/fun stuff to talk about or activities to do during the few minutes "free talk" you have during the lesson. I really miss Dada and would love to join the team again, if things worked out.
